Sorry to interrupt you guys in your own thread, but considering that Lawya has dropped by our place a few times I figured I could come say hello as well.
Just be careful about nominating Lawya president or anything of that sort because he's about to abandon you guys and join the ranks of the All-Big East club after only 18 more posts. ;D

But as founder of the Starters Club, Lawya will always remember the "little people" that made the upwardly mobile journey pleasant. ;D Didn't realize that 300 was the magic number. Might have to lay off my .......

Soon Lawya will leave us, but we will always remember him. He will always have a seat here amongst his fraternal bretheren.
He will be the first to have his seat retired, ensuring he'll always have a seat awaiting his return.
He will also be the first starter emeritus and we will look foward fondly to the annual Founders' Day celebrations.
On that colorful fall day, all the illustrious Starters who came before return to our hallowed halls to celebrate the tradition and lineage of our proud fraternity.
Starter from far and wide, young and old, come together to eat, drink, be merry and sing the old ballads of Hoya Lawya's daring raids.
His adventures and exploits will live on forever in our lore.
Lawya you always have a place here.
As for you GU2007, you may be hot stuff up in your elitist club, but here you are nothing but a carpet bagger. Thank you for stopping by, but I'm afraid we have to ask you to leave.
Guards, remove him.

No time to bask in past glory, Cambridge. We've got an appointment so grab your bags and let's catch a plane! To the rest of the Starters: Meet us over at Maine Avenue in about a week! Bring the leather chair, the beer and champagne, the DishTV, the caviar and the Hoya bedding ... but don't bother to shake up the lint at the bottom of your pockets trying to scrounge next month's rent on this dump.

Uh, guys....I haven't heard from you in a while and I'm getting concerned. I just got these pics from the Caymans Airport security cam. Are you ok, Cambridge, Lawya? (Nice chagi kick, by the way) I think the chopper is a good choice. Now, boys, if you are fine then get on the cell and have Steve Doocy on FoxNews pick his nose. If I don't see some pickin' then I'm a packin'!!!

Hey Nodak! Don't worry about us. That's not a picture of Cambridge getting roughed up. In fact, that's a picture of Jeremy JerseyHoya the XXXIVth! Our operative in Cayman -- one of the "Members Only" who is trying to work his way into our Starter ranks -- snuck into Jeremy's hotel suite last night and "planted" a faked CambridgeHoya passport in Jeremy's blazer. Cambridge's name, but Jeremy's picture. When he showed up at the Customs Office, informing the good officials there that they needed to be on the alert for someone named CambridgeHoya on the next flight, and they asked to see his own ID, they figured he was either (a) trying to turn himself in or (b) a nutcase. The scuffle in the parking lot ensued as he tried to escape. The helicopter was called in when he was last spotted running through an orange grove. Gerhard's German accent on his GERMAN didn't ring true, so I figured that some kind of ruse by the All-Americans was afoot. On my drive to the airport to meet CambridgeHoya, I did a check on the "011" international number I had dialed. When it turned out to link up to a global cellular phone, and not a fixed line in Switzerland, Cambridge and I figured we'd been tricked and adopted Plan B. Armed with a pre-signed "power of attorney" that I'd rifled from the bottom desk drawer while in the private study over on Embassy Row, and with the "groundwork" already laid by ordering an EFT using the All-Americans' own cookie-laden computer from their REAL account in Switzerland to another Swiss bank where I'd already set up an account for us, we hopped a red-eye flight to Europe instead. We're in Zurich right now. We've been to the bank. We've got the loot. The yacht we're purchasing is in the harbor at Monaco -- or maybe Singapore -- or maybe it's in Greece -- or possibly it's in Miami -- or even Virginia or Maryland. (Gotta throw those A-A'ers off our scent in this communique to you. Law enforcement officials will discredit them as crackpots if they try to dispatch agents around the globe. Interpol is far too busy with bin Laden's operatives to indulge a bunch of overgrown frat boys telling tales of stolen money and ill-gotten yachts.) Tell the fellas to vacate the clubhouse and go to our secret hideout. Expect a call from us shortly with further instructions on where to meet. Tell them to bring along their passports.

I was very glad to see Doocy picked. (5 bucks says he eats it). I was a little late with the capture button. Thanks for the video update you sent to my cell. Quite the adventure, eh? bekow.free.fr/magnum/

(HoyaLawya puts down his crackberry and smiles outside the bank in Zurich. He cannot resist looking inside. To his dismay, all he sees are piles and piles of these: HoyaLawya: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

No ... the loot is not in a bag, SF. Stop thinking so small scale, oh banking heir to A.P.Giannini !!! It is the aforementioned bearer's instrument for 25 million and it is denominated in EuroDollars. I think all the remaining known Lira currency in the world is now serving as kindling at your clubhouse. Keeping a proper plot line beween two threads is getting to be rather wearisome, not to mention confusing. Red-eyes to Zurich ...... transvestites named Elin .... latex masks. NOG ("New Old Guy") of the InsideCarolina board never had this kind of difficulty in creating his well-travelled spoof of the Dukies awhile back. But then again, he was a "solo auteur" .........

No more fitting place for this post # than right here, among my people. The Starters whom Seamus adjudged incapable of starting even a bowel movement. Come on down to Maine Avenue in SW, club breathren. The yacht is here and we can drink away our sorrows over Aboya, here on the "Good Ship AHoya."

Fitting that a guy who's leaving the club would invite you all down to the SE marina for a goodbye - a more fetid, disgusting area I cannot imagine. Needless to say, when the plebian element currently found here finally gets to move on up like the Jeffersons, you'll be welcome to chart a course for the Vineyard and tie up in a proper harbor like this one: And the sad irony about all this is that eventually the 'starters only' thread will be filled with posts by non-starters. Lesson? You will be assimilated - resistance is futile. Now someone go wax my Bentley with a chamois.

Or maybe they can hang on our yacht... [img src="http://www.vulk Editeda.com/dmr/images/yacht.jpg"] or beach... or maybe they can work with our dive instructor... or maybe not.

Alas, my time as a Starter has come to an end, but this sacred place and the noble fans who inhabit it will always hold a special place in my heart. I am comforted by the fact that I know that I can always come back here to party it up after big Hoya victories. I know we lost to Illinois, but what the hell? I'm going out in style. Kegs on me!
