So there is a closed scrimmage against Virginia tomorrow. Virginia lost to VCU 71-49 in the last scrimmage I am aware of, and subsequently lost Bennett. Any predictions?The only safe prediction is that whatever the reports (either good or bad) that some will go overboard in exaggerating the import of the results. More seriously, I am curious if Halaifonua will play. |

I hope we can get a report on important things like defense, switching, recovery, help, rotating, rebounding, talking, block shots, bad fouls (putting a team in the bonus with 15 minutes to go in the half. The success of this team will be a huge commitment to that end of the floor. The 2nd be a string decision making point guard at the end of games. I believe if we had just been decent in this are last year, we won’t 6-7 more games. I’m so excited xcited to get this started Go Hoyas

We will probably be able to get UVA stats someone on the burner had the UVA individual stats against VCU. TJ power went 0-10 in that.
I just hope Big Juice plays some. Epps also

Micah Peavy. 98th percentile Defensive Impact from Evan Miya. Wow. I pray that's right after what we've seen last few years.

The one glaring negative in Peavy's game is his FT shooting. He never has been a good FT shooter.

It doesn't have to be advanced metrics on the D but you have to admit D is ignored...unless it's terrible like against Pitt last year....but we now know Pitt had 2 pros on that team. |

Apologies but haven’t tracked it and only seen a couple spotty thread replies. But does Julius have an injury or other concerns that might impact his ability to start the season? He was wearing a boot at the open practice but someone else suggested some other health issue not related to injury which may be affecting his conditioning. At least that's what I inferred - no specifics, however. |

24-23 Uva led at half. 66-55 Hoyas final. Hopefully some more info comes out soon.
