Duke vs JMU that was not a flagrant, but a Dookie went down hard, so someone has to be punished. This game does show the strength of my Cats D, holding them to 64 ( lowest of the year for Dook ). Everyone seems focused on Flip, but Mitchell and the guards are awesome.

Am I misreading this, or is the tweet completely misusing the terms “high seed” and “low seed”?

Am I misreading this, or is the tweet completely misusing the terms “high seed” and “low seed”? It depends on whether you consider low seeds to be the good teams (low numbers) or the lower ranked seeds (the higher numbers). So it can be confusing. I do think when most people say “higher seeds” they’re typically referring to the better teams and thus lower numbers. For this reason, I think saying “better/worse seeds” would have more clarity.

Sort of similar until one realizes that Smith was 350 pounds and DJ Burns is 275 pounds. Interestingly, Smith got his weight down to 290 with the Nagoya Diamond Dragons and is still playing as of 2023! It's like saying Zach Edey reminds me of Roy Hibbert except that Edey is 7' 4" tall. Is the NBA in the cards for Edey? With all this greatness, defense remains the swing skill for the NBA. The league has gone away (ran away would be more accurate) from players in his mold. It’s sometimes hard to remember how recently and abruptly this has happened. Less than 8 years ago, 7’2 Pacers center Roy Hibbert (here’s a blast from the past for you) was an all-star and finished second in the defensive player of the year vote. Two years later, Hibbert became unplayable and was washed out of the NBA. And this was not (primarily) because of his offense, which was always limited, but because of how swiftly the league has altered, transforming players like Hibbert from defensive assets to defensive liabilities in the span of just two seasons (Cavs 7’1 center Timofey Mozgov can tell a similar story at about the same time). www.onpointbasketball.com/the-future-of-canadian-basketball-in-the-paint-part-3-zach-edey/Except that Timofey Mosgov wasn't near the player that Roy was. Still the worst free agent signing ever by the Lakers. When I heard that the Lakers had signed him, I thought it was as a backup, but when I saw what they were paying him, I about puked. And I was right, Mitch was wrong.

Beautiful inbounds play leading to a dunk to put Clemson up 5 over Arizona with less than a minute to go.
Great finish by Clemson

Looking at Alabama-UNC game just seems like a wake up re how far we are currently away from being relevant (not a surprise), but still optimistic that things can turn around quickly.

remember someone on here brought up Grant Nelson in the Portal last year. There was concern that he was too skinny and lacked competition at North Dakota but he’s fluid has a great 3 pt shot and good handles for 6 foot 11. He has nice shot blocking numbers at 1.6 a game.
We were likely blocked by Benedickt Akok’s allocated PT and NIL but still would have been nice to have Nelson over Massoud.

Looking at Alabama-UNC game just seems like a wake up re how far we are currently away from being relevant (not a surprise), but still optimistic that things can turn around quickly. Selection Committee gifted UNC the easiest bracket and a number One seed despite losing in their conference championship game. UNC blows it. UConn, Dan Hurley and the Big East making a statement against clown show selection committee by blowing out SD State by 30 Pts. (seton Hall team ran UConn out of the gym and Clingan couldn’t keep up with the Seton Hall pace and was eventually knocked out of that game) Now it’s up to McDermott and Shaka to deliver tonight.

Alabama was pretty good--that's what happens when multiple guys can actually shoot the ball. Was a great game, was rooting for UNC as I've met RJ Davis a few times.
Don't think anyone from BE other than UCONN could have beaten Alabama last night.
