Preliminary reports indicate the deal is worth $75-$80 million a year, which would be about double what all the schools were getting under the old deal. It works out to something in the 7-7.5 million range annually. Obviously much improved from the old deal, but also way behind football obviously. But, still good that there was demand for the product.

But, still good that there was demand for the product. Well, luckily for almost all the BE schools there is no D1 football budget to worry about.

Question? Has the Big East ceded scheduling control to the networks as part of this deal?
