I appreciate the sentiment, but wholeheartedly disagree. If we’ve learned nothing else about the MAGA-addled brain over the past 8 years, it’s that it is completely impervious to both facts and reason.

No shocker here. I don't know how violating the Hatch Act could possibly be within the scope of your federal duties. I am surprised that the WaPo article does not mention that Jody Hunt, former AAG for Civil Division at DOJ who testified for Fani Willis in the removal hearing, was also Cassidy Hutchinson's lawyer after she fired Trumpworld lawyer Stefan Passantino who is now under investigation by the D.C. Bar for counseling her to "not remember" in her initial testimony before the January 6 Committee. A federal judge on Friday denied a request from former Department of Justice attorney Jeffrey Clark to move his Georgia election-interference criminal case to federal court, a shift he had sought on the grounds that he was a federal officer at the time of the actions that led to his indictment. At the heart of the federal removal question is whether Clark’s actions that led to criminal charges were taken within the scope of his duties as a federal officer. While Clark’s lawyers claimed that as acting head of the Justice Department’s Civil Division he had authority to involve himself with election matters, Jones found evidence to the contrary compelling — including testimony from a former Civil Division chief, Jody Hunt, who said that was not the case. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/09/29/judge-denies-jeffrey-clark-request-move-his-case-federal-court/

Cheseboro taking plea deal right now. Guilty to a felony with light sentence (probation) which means he'll be singing like a canary! Dominoes continue to fall. Mango should be afraid, very afraid. ATLANTA — Kenneth Chesebro, a former lawyer for Donald Trump’s campaign, pleaded guilty Friday to illegally conspiring to overturn Trump’s 2020 election loss in Georgia. The plea came in just hours after jury selection began in the highly anticipated case, ahead of an expected trial next month. Chesebro pleaded guilty to a single felony count of conspiracy to file false documents, and faces a prison sentence of one to five years. He also agreed to truthfully testify in the case against others. Jenna Ellis’s tearful guilty plea should worry Rudy Giuliani But when it comes to defendants put in the spotlight by her plea, one stands out: Giuliani. Ellis traveled the country with Giuliani after the 2020 election, speaking to legislators in hopes of getting states to overturn their results. She also participated in other meetings and phone calls with Giuliani and key state figures, as well as the infamous Nov. 19, 2020, news conference with Giuliani and Powell. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/10/24/jenna-ellis-guilty-plea-georgia-giuliani-trump/

You see, he doesn’t know any of these people and he maybe met them once or twice. They definitely weren’t part of his legal team, despite anything he may have said to the contrary in the past. He’s the most honest and upstanding citizen, and if these people did something wrong, they did it without his knowledge.

In fairness to Trump, he probably never paid any of them so, in a sense, they weren't in his employ.
