MAGA GOPers are shatbit crazy. It is truly a cult. An attorney for former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne was detained at the federal courthouse in Washington on Monday after defending her decision to disseminate internal documents from Dominion Voting Systems in an effort to revive long-debunked claims about the 2020 election. Stefanie Lambert was facing a bench warrant from a state court in Michigan, where she is accused of taking part in a conspiracy to tamper with voting machines in hopes of finding proof of fraud. She is simultaneously representing Byrne, who is being sued for defamation by Dominion over related falsehoods claiming the firm’s machines enabled vote tampering. Lambert responded that she was under no obligation to adhere to the protective order because the emails contained “evidence of a crime,” suggesting the situation was analogous to being handed “a dead body” as part of the case discovery. Specifically, she alleged that they were proof that “Dominion conspired with foreign nationals in Serbia” to undermine the U.S. election system. Dominion’s attorneys responded that this was a “xenophobic conclusion” based only on the fact that the company has some overseas employees. A Dominion spokeswoman added in an email that “any allegation that Dominion employees anywhere tried to interfere with any election is flatly false.” www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/03/18/attorney-michigan-voting-machine-lawyer-arrested-dominion/This is unbelievable. I don't want this to sound sexist, but I'm waiting for the new law firm Powell, Ellis & Lambert to be formed. "We specialize in lunatic law!" Actually, I forgot. Demented Rudy can be the senior partner.

Comer should have immediately retired after getting this embarrassed. Moskowitz can be a little over the top sometimes, but he absolutely owns these guys every session. Comer and Jordan are so far out of their depths; it’s pathetic.

Apparently it wasn’t enough for NBC to have frequent friction-free “interviews” with anti-democratic, racist, fascist, election-denying insurrectionists where “journalists” allowed guests to lie with impunity with zero pushback. Now they hired one as a contributor. It’s not giving balance to political issues, it’s giving a lying sack of crap a platform to push more lies. thehill.com/homenews/media/4549564-ronna-mcdaniel-nbc-news-contributor/amp/

Rep. Mike Gallagher announces he’ll resign in April, narrowing House GOP vote margin to one Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) announced Friday he will resign effective April 19, leaving the slim House GOP majority with a one-vote margin that will make it even harder to pass legislation. Under Wisconsin law, Gallagher’s seat is likely to remain vacant until January, with the November general election to determine who wins his seat. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/22/mike-gallagher-republican-leaving-house/

Despicable radical nihilists. The quicker the MAGA GOP dies, the better off the country will be. Christo-fascists have nothing constructive to offer America. House Republicans have skipped town for Easter recess with their base enraged, their majority in tatters — and their speaker facing the prospect of a humiliating ouster at the hands of his own MAGA allies. Behind the scenes: Republicans were left fuming over the early resignations of Gallagher and Buck, with some suggesting it's now within the realm of possibility for the House majority to flip to Democrats mid-Congress. ssnews.page.link/emV7YbTXSmeaR8oQA

Hopefully, this iteration of the "Republican" Party, now reduced to a cult, is destined for the dustbin of history. Weakened House GOP majority reckons with Johnson’s leadership Less than six months after a faction of House Republicans led a revolt that removed Kevin McCarthy from the speakership, more Republicans are already complaining about the party’s direction and questioning whether his replacement, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is the right person for the job. The complaints picked up after the House passage Friday of a $1.2 trillion funding bill and they are familiar ones for the chamber, similar to those that had been lodged against McCarthy (Calif.): Both men have relied on Democrats to pass key funding bills in the narrowly divided chamber and bypassed rules to move the legislative process along more quickly when facing key legislative deadlines. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/24/house-speaker-johnson-spending-complaints/

This dude is worse than useless. And, if you're a "Republican," are you not tired of him getting taken to the wood shed by, literally, everyone that speaks with him? You folks clutch your pearls at people like AOC. How long would Gym Jordan have to prep to go a couple of rounds to be able to hold his own with the former bartender as you folks like to call her as if that's some sort of disparagement? You dummies show your a$$es at every turn and, apparently, don't even realize it. Hard work and pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Didn't that used to be one of the things you (fake) stood for like family values? Yet, you go after AOC for doing exactly that and don't recognize the irony. But, Gym Jordan? Sure. Good luck with that. Aren't you tired of people like Rep. Crockett making you all look incredibly stupid and calling your side on their lies? How about electing some folks that are actually interested in governing and not just looking to have a big X following?

Even if the effect of non-government entities is the chilling of “free speech”, so what? That’s not a Constitutional problem even if this blithering moron sees it as such. HIS effort and the effort of his Republican congressional cronies to stifle the speech of these companies DOES run afoul of the Constitution. It’s not all that difficult. Either he knows this, but, as a continual peddler of misinformation, is pushing the nonsense anyway, or he really is just a sexual-abuse ignoring, barely sentient bag of meat.

Ironic that the "Republicans" are actually the source of disinformation via Gym Jordan and Goober Comer's fake impeachment inquiry into the "Biden crime family." As is now apparent, it has its origins in a Russian disinformation campaign but "Republicans" and the morons that support the cult fail to recognize it.
Did anyone realize that Gym Jordan actually has a law degree, proving once again that anyone in America can attend and graduate from law school. I'm not sure that he has ever practiced law or actually passed a bar exam but that is also not preclusive of being a moron, which Jordan clearly is. You have to wonder about the morons that keep returning him to office, don't you?

Texas! Yee Haw! This passes for "leadership" in MAGAland Texas. The MAGA GOP is not exactly the rule ofl law party now, is it? HOUSTON — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), a conservative firebrand acquitted last year in a historic impeachment trial, has reached an agreement with prosecutors to avoid trial on long-standing state felony securities fraud charges. Paxton was charged nearly a decade ago, accused of defrauding investors at a Dallas-area tech company by not disclosing that he was paid by the company to recruit them. The case has been delayed for years by pretrial disputes over the trial’s location and special prosecutors’ fees. Under the agreement reached in Harris County district court on Tuesday, prosecutors would dismiss felony charges against Paxton if he successfully completes community service and advanced legal education classes and pays restitution of about $300,000. He had previously pleaded not guilty. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/03/26/ken-paxton-deal-texas-securities-charges/
