ARKANSAS (Southeastern)-- Eric Musselman (5 years; 16-17 this season; 111-59 at UA; 221-93 overall) resigned April 4, 2024 to accept the position as head coach at Southern California, and was replaced as head coach April 10, 2024 by John Calipari (head coach at Kentucky and former head coach at Memphis, Massachusetts and NBA New Jersey Nets). Calipari signed a five-year contract through the 2028-2029 season at an annual base salary of $7 million, with a maximum of two rollover years through the 2030-2031 season for making the NCAA Tournament, a $1 million signing bonus, annual retention bonuses of $500,000, and one-time additional bonuses for making the NCAA Tournament, reaching the second round, reaching the "Sweet Sixteen," reaching the "Final Four," and winning a National Championship.
BRIGHAM YOUNG (Big 12)-- Mark Pope (5 years; 23-11 this season; 110-52 at BYU; 187-108 overall) resigned April 12, 2024 to accept the position as head coach at Kentucky, and was replaced as head coach April 16, 2024 by Kevin Young (associate head coach at NBA Phoenix Suns and former head coach and NBA G-League Utah Flash, Iowa Energy and Delaware 87ers); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were disclosed by BYU.
BRYANT (America East)-- Jared Grasso (5 years, and entering his 6th season; 17-13 in the 2022-2023 season; 79-67 at Bryant and overall) resigned as head coach on November 13, 2023, and was replaced as head coach November 14, 2023 by Phil Martelli Jr. (associate head coach at Bryant); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were announced by Bryant.
CALIFORNIA POLYTECHNIC STATE (Big West)-- John Smith (5 years; 4-25 this season; 29-112 at Cal Poly and overall) was fired March 1, 2024, effective at the end of the season, and was replaced as head coach March 25, 2024 by Mike DeGeorge (head coach at Division II Colorado Mesa); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were disclosed by Cal Poly.

CANISIUS (Metro Atlantic)-- Reggie Witherspoon (8 years; 14-18 this season; 108-129 at Canisius; 306-357 overall) and the university jointly announced March 15, 2024 that they had agreed to "mutually part ways" immediately, and was replaced as head coach April 8, 2024 by Jim Christian (associate athletic director at Kent State and former head coach at Boston College, Ohio, Texas Christian and Kent State); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were disclosed by Canisius.

COASTAL CAROLINA (Sun Belt)-- Cliff Ellis (17 years; 3-5 this season; 297-227 at CCU; 909-576 overall) announced his retirement December 6, 2023, was replaced as head coach on an interim basis for the balance of the 2023-2024 season by Benny Moss (associate head coach at CCU), and was replaced as head coach March 11, 2024 by Justin Gray (head coach at Western Carolina); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were announced by CCU.

JAMES MADISON (Sun Belt)-- Mark Byington (4 years; 32-4 this season; 82-36 at JMU; 220-137 overall) resigned March 25, 2024 to accept the position as head coach at Vanderbilt, and was replaced as head coach March 29, 2024 by Preston Spradlin (head coach at Morehead State); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were disclosed by JMU.
KENTUCKY (Southeastern)-- John Calipari (15 years; 23-10 this season; 410-122 at UK; 813-260 overall) resigned April 9, 2024 to accept the position as head coach at Arkansas, and was replaced as head coach April 12, 2024 by Mark Pope (head coach at Brigham Young and former head coach at Utah Valley). Pope signed a five-year contract through the 2028-2029 season with reported annual compensation averaging $5.5 million.
LOUISVILLE (Atlantic Coast)-- Kenny Payne (2 years; 8-24 this season; 12-52 at UL and overall) was fired March 13, 2024, and was replaced as head coach March 28, 2024 by Pat Kelsey (head coach at College of Charleston and former head coach at Winthrop); Kelsey received a five-year contract through the 2028-2029, although terms of compensation nor other contract specifications were disclosed by UL.
LOYOLA (MARYLAND) (Patriot)-- Tavares Hardy (6 years; 7-25 this season; 66-110 at Loyola and overall) "resigned" as head coach March 8, 2024, and was replaced as head coach March 30, 2024 by John Loeffler (assistant coach at Cincinnati); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were disclosed by Loyola.
MARSHALL (Sun Belt)-- Dan D'Antoni (10 years; 13-20 this season; 177-148 at MU and overall) was fired March 25, 2024, and was replaced as head coach March 25, 2024 by Cornelius Jackson (associate head coach at MU); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were disclosed by UM.
McNEESE STATE (Southland)-- John Aiken (2 years; 11-23 in the 2022-2023 season; 22-45 at McNeese and overall) was fired March 8, 2023, and was replaced as head coach March 12, 2023 by Will Wade (former head coach at Tennessee Chattanooga, Virginia Commonwealth and Louisiana State); the five-year contract has a base compensation in the total amount of $1.175 million, along with various performance bonus incentives, and further provides that Wade will serve a five-game suspension at the start of the 2023-2024 season and will be under self-imposed recruiting restrictions throughout the term of the contract, in an apparent attempt to pre-impose sanctions that were expected to be imposed by the NCAA relating to Wade's coaching tenure at Louisiana State.
MERCER (Southern)-- Greg Gary (5 years; 16-17 this season; 81-79 at Mercer; 97-123 overall) was fired March 11, 2024, and was replaced as head coach March 15, 2024 by Ryan Ridder (head coach at Tennessee Martin and former head coach at Bethune-Cookman); no terms of compensation nor contract specifications were announced by Mercer.
MICHIGAN (Big Ten)-- Juwan Howard (5 years; 8-24 this season; 87-72 at U-M and overall) was fired March 15, 2024, and was replaced as head coach March 23, 2024 by Dusty May (head coach at Florida Atlantic). May received a five-year contract through the 2028-2029 season with an average annual salary of $3.75 million; no other contract specifications were disclosed by U-M.
