John Fanta is reporting that Dan Hurley told his UConn players before practice today that he is talking with the Los Angeles Lakers about their head coaching vacancy. Something on which to keep an eye.

UConn’s Dan Hurley is staying put, reportedly turning down a six-year, $70 million offer from the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers. College basketball can take a sigh of relief for now…as can J.J Redick, who is now the target for the Lakers’ head coaching job.
