Just a great story. Hopefully they get a decent crowd in SE on Sunday against UConn and maybe the first legit shot in years for a Win. Last win against UConn was in 92-93. 35 game losing streak. Only 4 of the 35 losses by 10 points or fewer.

The 2011 team had Uconn on the ropes in the sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament, but could not finish them off. That was such a fun team to follow. After the men's team collapsed following the Chris Wright injury - I went to all the women's NCAA tournament games, and it was wonderful. They beat Princeton, then beat highly ranked Maryland on their home court. Then off to philly, where they took Uconn to the wire after leading most of the game It's great to see the women playing well, especially given the tragic loss of their coach before the start of the season.

I remember watching that 2011 team. They were fun to watch. No matter what happens the rest of the way, they are a great story. Nearly 3000 at the game today. Unfortunately there's still a bit of a gulf.

They were a 20 point lead vs Seton Hall I believe and a 4th quarter collapse against Brown from being 15-2. Just a wildly impressive showing from an interim HC taking over a tragic situation. Would be shocking if the interim tag wasn't taken off at some point soon.

I don't follow woman's college basketball that closely, but are the Hoyas getting close to being ranked? The record is pretty impressive and the Big East seems to be a pretty good conference.
