Very surprised by this news especially after Davis left.. Any Triily fans have any insight they could share. Can we just take his name?

I thought it would take awhile after Wright before we got our next messianic coach, but I guess here we are…. hm

Does any one think that Hurley might be drawn to the NBA challenge? He often cites Billy Donovan's advice and now if he matches his b2b championships, does he then follow suit for a new focus? They have seem hyper focused this year on checking off a BE Title, and now the repeat, so is there a possibility he says I did everything I wanted here? The team coming back isn't going to be nearly as good, and and he is not one to love the transfer portal. I don't think it's likely, but reading the tea leaves I wouldn't say it's not a possibility if the right job and situation were to present itself.

I don't think Hurley's style of coaching would go over well with NBA players. It could be entertaining though.

Good stuff in this clip, the ending was great. I very much look forward to seeing similar clips from Gtown in the near future.

Great outcome for the Big East of course. While I don’t love UConn, the Big East needs to stay relevant in this era when football continues to mess up and threaten to mess with things relating to other college sports. And while the Big East got stiffed in bids, this is really the best way to show people just how good the conference is.
But now the season is over. Two things I want to see emerge over the next year are a much better Georgetown team, and a good media deal that sets the stage for the future of the conference.

How much money would it take Kentucky to lure Hurley? He currently makes ~ $6M/year ... I assume UConn will give him some sort bump and years ... but something like 6 years $75M/$80M??? You have to think that they will at least throw his agent some #s.

I hate UConn, but love this for the conference, only issue is I am worried that sooner rather then later UConn will Get poached, and the Power 4 football conferences will decide the Big East will not be included in future big time sports. If any of you watched ESpn the past 24 hours Seth Greenberg and others keep alluding to it.

The only real danger would be the ACC--the Big 10, Big 12, and SEC would never take them. But, if the ACC loses Clemson, Florida State, and others potentially, one could envision a scenario where the ACC gets desperate enough to add them despite choices not to do so in the past.

Unless the ACC is going to kick BC out Uconn is never getting in, that hatred runs deep.
