That was actually a fun watch, but "Two Big Time Teams?" That was nuts to say that. He’s just trying to help Ewing and Anderson a bit.

My understanding is that both StJohns and Georgetown still draw solid TV viewership despite sunken programs.

Patrick appears to be as involved in this final play call as I am. Yeah....where did he keep looking? Looked like he was trying to sneak a look at what play Anderson was calling or something.

From 8:22 to 4:07 we didn't score a single point. Way too many wasted possessions. Not sure why we went away from Spears as the primary ballhandler for such a long stretch, especially when it clearly wasn't working. Also too much time on the bench for Riley

While those were certainly two bad, poorly coached teams, it was still an excting game to watch. Spears can keep us in a lot of games when he shoots like that. Won't happen, but he'd be fun to watch next year under a different coach. With a new coach, you don’t think he’d be back?

Can it really only be 37 years since we met them 1 v 2?
Might as well be 370.

Soriano's numbers are baffling:
34 minutes 3-14 FG, all within a foot of the basket 6-10 FT 11 offensive rebounds, 15 total 1 foul
That said, there's no good excuse for Spears to throw that ball in. Even as a decoy, he's worth more on the court than the sideline.

Also too much time on the bench for Riley I felt like we got a little cocky after building the 10pt lead....we went away from Spears because STJs took him away. They made us inbounds to someone else and then didn't allow him to get the ball back. When he got the ball back they ran double teams at him. One of the few really good coaching moves by either staffs. Even with that if Q or BM can make a few fairly easy shots we should win the game.

Lazy inbound passes. Just disgusting. Still no handle on substitution patterns.
So depressing. If we had a coach we don't lose that game.

He got inside his own head I think.....He's only a 70%ish FT shooter, so that number is on, but the misses all came when he was missing bunny after bunny inside. Whatever happened with him, it helped keep us in the game.

your best player is inbounding the ball when he could be the one catching, one dribble and shooting.....the thing he's good at …. May not have mattered and lots of other things to wonder about, but in a nutshell THIS on the only topic that matters these days…

Much closer than I thought and more entertaining to watch but then they were missing Posh. Tale of the game is in the statistics for Hoyas: 6 assists (Primo, Akok and Murray 2 apiece) and 13 TOs (Murray 5). FTs 10/15 (Wahab and Ezewiro missing 2 each). Outrebounded (Wahab and Ezewiro 12, Soriano and Jones 22)
Not certain if it was good defense or just an off night but Soriano was not good. Riley had a very poor offensive performance but still came up with 4 steals and clearly Primo shot very well, but in today's game a poor perimeter shooting team (7/24) like the Hoyas is not going to win many particularly if you cannot play defense. Maybe I am unrealistic, but it seems that having a player like Akok who is great on defense but contributes very little on offense is a problem. Akok shot 3 times (0 points) and all from deep. How is it that with his height we cannot find him for some shots at the top of the key or in the lane? He had a height advantage all day. Will be very interesting to see if this was a game which shows some progress or if the Hoyas caught two bad teams on off nights.

Yeah, that's true, they did do a good job making us go away from him. Just don't like how we didn't really counter that at all and actually have a plan of attack. Just kept jacking up shots/turnovers without real purpose. But I guess that's how much of the season has gone, so I shouldn't be surprised

I do agree that he should've been used as a decoy....I don't get why more aren't upset Mizone didn't take the foul. He head fakes and gets 2 Johnnies jumping at him. You brace and rise up into Soriano. 3 freebies when you only need 2 for OT. That's a much higher play than pumping, moving to the right and sticking the 3 at the buzzer. Even with more time I don't trust anyone on our current roster to make that shot. Not even Primo🤷🏾♂️

Lazy inbound passes. Just disgusting. Still no handle on substitution patterns. So depressing. If we had a coach we don't lose that game. Ewing has no replacement for Jay Heath and this is probably one of three or four games where that's going to be the difference. Heath wasn't carrying this team to the post-season but there's no answer: Riley lacks confidence, Bass doesn't play, and Bristol is not an option. That demands Murray to really step up and his ceiling now bears a uncanny resemblance to the man he replaced: Aminu Mohammed. Murray's last four games: Villanova 4-9 at Villanova 2-8 DePaul 4-10 at St. John's 7-19 Total: 17-46 (.369)

I'd like to think that he was trying to find out the exact amount of time that the refs were deciding were left. But who knows.
