Gibson’s 3 from [insert Chicago suburb here] was unfair, but aside from that just way too many wide open 3s for Depaul.

A lot of bonehead plays but like the hustle by Heath and Murray

DePaul’s last 3 games they averaged 55 points.
47 at half.

Neither team is defending well, but our defense is a different level of bad. Nothing works. We are still right there, though.

The deference shown Pat by these announcers is remarkable.
“Looking for guys he can use off the bench…”
Where is he looking? Not at his own guys.
“Said we have to keep them off the 3 point line”
Have we ever?
How do they repeat this crap without laughing out loud?
I know Fox has a non disparagement arrangement here but when will an announcer speak the truth about this shamelessly overmatched excuse for a Coach?

Depaul: 9-15 from 3 Hoyas: 4-7 from 3
It cannot be overstated the automatic hole we dig ourselves every single night when opponents make more 3s than we even attempt. You simply cannot play basketball this way in 2022 and expect anything other than extreme amounts of losses.

Glad to see Anglin on the floor but he does look a bit challenged defensively and doesn't show the handles to be the primary ball handler.

What are the odds DePaul finishes the game over 90 points with no overtime?

He's trying way too hard to beat his guy to the spot and getting beat. Trying way too hard to earn more minutes would be my guess.

It is remarkable that this roster has not led to defensive improvement from last season, but somehow has gotten worse. It's the most poorly coached side of the floor in high major basketball and it's probably not close.

Glad to see Anglin on the floor but he does look a bit challenged defensively and doesn't show the handles to be the primary ball handler. It was a tough 4 minute stretch for Anglin. And a sample of why he doesn't get trusted with minutes. Wanted to get the ball out of his own hands like it was a hot potato. No confidence in his own ball handling. Struggled badly with on ball defense. Momentum was going way or bad positioning almost every time his man was keying the action. He's an elite shooter but has to tighten up other facets, especially when he's not getting looks from 3 offensively.

Awfully tough to improve on these things (or any things for that matter) from the bench.

Yep you can just see he is very aware of how one little mistake could get him nailed to the bench again

Seems like Denver is playing like Beard often did last year.....scared to do anything but scared not to be great at the same time or he's get nailed to the bench again. Aren't coaches supposed to build confidence? That's what the "pre-season" is for......but not for us.

Now it's difficult to force minutes and win.
