Hard for me to see a win against Butler on Sunday I think tonight is more winnable than Sunday's game, as Matta is a far better coach than Ewing, while Stubblefield hasn't really proven much. Plus, our guys will probably be more depressed playing in front of an empty home arena Sunday, whereas they won't care tonight since it's not a home game. Butler is getting routed by PC right now, still think they'll be a tough out on Sunday

If the cohesion that has been building over the past few games continues, the boys will not only win this game but will make it a marker for their change in fortune going forward. Go Hoyas! Are we gelling yet? Asking for a friend that looked at the 5-8 record and NET ranking in the mid-200s. In all seriousness, I think we win tonight going away. DePaul is very bad and has been dealing with injuries on top of not having much talent. Seeing what we're facing in the Big East, we really should win at least 6-8 games - which will probably be enough for Jack D. and the Board to justify staying the course with Ewing. We'll then have a typical offseason under Ewing of high attrition and bringing in mercenaries from the portal. It's a terrible way to build and run a program, but keeping jobs by winning the games immediately in front of them is what currently drives every Ronny/Ewing activity. They're not building our existing roster for future success, they're not doing much/any recruiting, they're not engaging with the few fans that are left. They're in all-out survivor mode and at least for tonight, I think that buys them a victory in the South Loop of Chicago. Hoyaboya preparing the Pack Line defense of disappointment in case we win.

Well two TOs by Wahab and Murray and a missed layup for Wahab. Christmas break has apparently not ended

Sloppy start. We are on track for almost 40 turnovers if we don’t start protecting the ball.

A joke so far. Not ready to play. Spears absolutely careless, Murray not giving defensive effort. Wahab missing the easy lay-in.
DePaul on a 120 point pace.

This is the same DePaul team that has lost 4/5 by the following scorelines:
67-86 (SJ) 55-66 (Duquesne) 45-83 (NW) 65-80 (Creighton)

Spears already 3 TOs and left 2 guys wide open for 3. Give me Chris A all day.

The defense has been awful so far. We simultaneously leave both the perimeter and the lane wide open.

Unbelievable that we go zone and lose track of the best three point shooter in the conference. Heath went for a steal he had no chance of getting and then Spears didn’t help on Johnson. Truly awful zone defense.
