Team and staff should be commended for pulling out a win with a patchwork lineup. Beard, Wilson and Holloway deserve big props. Here's to hoping that we get some bodies back for TCU and that the sickness going through the team doesn't bite others.

Dante has been awful tonight with his decision making. Agreed. And his shot looks flat. No arc. Maybe the leg cramps are to blame.

OK, one really last bright spot -- we have seen a series of games where, for whatever various reasons, the starters were not performing well, or as in this game, were out or in foul trouble AND one or 2 players stepped up with big games. When opponents think they can grab a win by smothering and limiting Aminu or Rice, think again because it looks like we have a few teammates ready to step in and step up. Gonna sleep well tonight with that thought. Unless the 23 TOs wake me up and keep me staring at the ceiling...

Maybe that's why they did it at 9 games? Isn't that the magic number for a redshirt? Don’t think he is hoping to use all 4 years of eligibility. Probably moot. He hasn't quite shown anything next level. He has an awful lot to work on if that is his plan. He is a good player and insanely athletic, but needs better grasp of the game. He'll get there as he has upside, but a needs to get healthy (that hurt his athleticism).

Great games by Wilson and Beard. Solid work by Carey and Holloway. Need more from Mo and, if Ewing’s going to be stubborn and keep playing him so many minutes - Harris. At this point, he doesn’t have much choice. I think we see a lot of Harris and Beard together without Riley. We don’t really have a lot of depth at the 1/2. Hopefully we get Rice and Billingsley back soon but even then, essentially 2 of Carey, Harris, and Beard have to be on the floor together for ball- handling purposes and all 3 are probably in your best lineup.

Holloway has been a revelation - I’m not sure if he can keep this up against bigger teams, but his offensive efficiency is outstanding. Also love Wilson’s game tonight - happy for him as it’s had to be hard sitting on the bench so much over 3 years. Tonight Wilson played better than Tim ever has.

One last big plus -- we have handled the press really well and with poise and confidence. That's going to reap benefits the rest of the year. Doubt it - most big boy teams don’t press. It’s especially dumb given the Hoyas’ personnel this year. Much smarter to let Harris walk it up, wait for the PnR, go under the screen, and dare Harris to beat you from outside. We get it you don't like Harris. Repeating it over and over is insanity. Rice, Aminu, Carey, Beard and the rest of the team all have had bad games at some point this season but you don't harp on them nonstop. Whether you like it or not he will be playing and he contributes a lot to the team.

Aminu tonight reminded me of Henry Sims when he had bad games after The Post had articles about him in the newspaper… coincidence? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Sims then took it out on the next game. Watch out, TCU. Aminu runs hot and cold. He was awful tonight. I suspect he’ll rebound with a big game against TCU but too often he is wildly out of control.

Ugly win. But I will take it given: - the crazy patchwork line-up due to injuries/illness - Aminu playing and making decisions like a freshman - Harris having an off game (his shot has been off this season but today there was definitely something up, whether it was cramping or whatever)
Props to Beard and Wilson.

Dante Harris game was horrendous. I was pleasantly surprise on how well Wilson played tonight. Beard and Holloway were outstanding.

Definition of a Troll. Why you feel you need to denigrate a player on a team that you apparently root for in at least every other post you make is beyond my comprehension. Be glad I am not moderating this forum because if I was, you would be gone. It has become personal and flat-out disgusting.

Really please to see Tyler get the points side of his game show up. He is a good set shooter and can get to the basket, but needs to be clear. Hoyas with two really good point guards and can shoot. That is so good to have.
Everybody got into the turnover game tonight. But, a lot of really good ball movement and passing to better shots.
Nice game by Malcolm, but a good game to get confidence for him. Holloway adapted into a what was needed and did really well.

Harris is +25..by far the highest 5-17 FG, 5 turnovers. And the team looked hopeless without him in (and with Aminu ailing). The big Howard run was with him on the bench. This was also true in just about every earlier game. And then they started to make a run when he got hurt -- which is why Ewing had to keep putting him back in. Beard had a nice day, but he's not really a PG. And this team struggles offensively when he's out in large part because only he and Aminu actually can create danger or force the defense to react. Eighty percent of our offense today came off the threat of reaction to Harris drives regardless of who scored. It's not to say Dante is some unstoppable force, but we don't have many guys who can force the defense to send help and that's what creates open shots. I get it: you invested in Beard stock a long time ago. I don't remember if you started dogging Dante first or trumpeted Beard first, but anyone with a brain can see your agenda, and anyone who knows basketball is just kind of embarrassed by your constant degradation of a good player for whatever personal grudge you got. It's the new version of hoyainla's hate of McClung, and it doesn't speak well to your character.

What a shame that Riley gets injured. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery from surgery and a long Hoya career. Tonight's game was a matter of attrition. Cannot be unhappy given the circumstances and despite some horrible moments. Aminu was out of control and trying too hard. Refs decided to call it much closer than Hoyas have seen recently. Major kudos to Beard, Wilson, Carey and Holloway. Like others have posted, once again saw the out-of-control side of Harris and if the kid settles down and plays under control he would be much more effective. Seems his shooting is worse this year but that may be just my impression because of his FT shooting. With the emergence of Beard, the coach has the ability to pull Harris when he is out of control and settle him down. Same is true for Aminu. In many ways the Hoyas will benefit from this game, including the time and experience given to Wilson, the continued emergence of Holloway, the revelation that is Tyler Beard, and the continued value of Carey as a calming presence. One continued troubling thought is that the Hoyas are going to lose some games this year because of their poor FT shooting.
