What did Mac sign for? Per online accounts, a two-way contract.--AdminThey've already used their two 2 ways on Ayai and Reeves. Looks like he signed a training camp contract: That is referencing his initial signing. I don’t think the details are public yet. Traces and Ayayi have them as of now, but the door is wide open for competition.

Mac has no chance of playing in the league. He doesn't do a single thing that projects as above average at the NBA level. Yurt might squeak in if he can show the shooting is for real. He doesn’t have to be above average. By definition, there are many players who do things at a below average level in the league. As someone else noted, Yurt is already in the league…and he’s been able to shoot since he was like 17.

Traces and Ayayi have them as of now, but the door is wide open for competition. His initial signing was a Exhibit 10 contract (which is what Chaundee Brown just got). So it makes sense that he was upgraded now to a guaranteed training camp deal.

I don't think the Allen trade would have any effect on Blair playing for the Bucks summer league. With the exception of the guys selected in the draft or the ones with previous NBA experience, the UDFA's outside of a few of the top guys are auditioning for spots on G League rosters not a team's main roster. And even if for some odd reason the Bucks did dismiss him from their summer league team, there's no reason he couldn't sign on with some other team. My best guess is he's either injured or tested positive for covid in which case with summer league only being a week long, I doubt any team would want to sign him.

I don’t understand your response. “Mostly joking”? Okay if you’re not then your take on that clip was inaccurate, and if it were actually a joke it would have to fully be a joke for it to actually be funny. Maybe you’re taking my response as intense but that has more to do with you. I was simply, calmly calling a spade a spade. No need to feel affronted by everything, you’re not going to bat .1000 with every post. Nobody said you took anything seriously, I just pointed that your sentiment doesn’t really apply in this situation and earnestly asked whether you really didn’t consider that achievement, which you never answered by the way. I get that communication is hard, but it’s not rocket science. I asked a question because I wanted to know the answer. In case you haven’t noticed by now I’m not into the juvenile social mind games most folks are into. I’m direct unless it’s something too obvious, in which case I might get sarcastic or facetious. Pretty low bar, “.1000”. As a job performance review once allegedly said: "X sets a very low bar for himself and fails to exceed it."

Looks like you aren't up on current events. He already signed for two years. It's not guaranteed. Reportedly, the first year is guaranteed: Omer Yurtseven, who has excelled in summer league play, has signed a two-year contract with the Heat, according to a team press release. Luke Glass, the son of Yurtseven’s agent Keith Glass, told ESPN’s Bobby Marks of the big man’s agreement with the team (Twitter link). Yurtseven will receive about $3.5MM across two seasons, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald tweets, which likely means it’s a minimum-salary deal. Just the first year is guaranteed, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel tweets.

Am I the only one watching McClung and feeling like he is completely out of his "league" out there? He did have 7 rebounds last night but each time I see him with the ball in his hands it seems as if he has to try way too hard to accomplish anything, especially considering his shot isn't falling. Crazier yet, every single time I go to the mothership page to check box scores, schedules, etc....his image appears in some form or another. Marketing I guess.

I watched last night as well, mainly as a Knicks fan. On offense, Lakers had Mac playing mainly off the ball, and he struggled to find space against any of the Knick guards (Mcbride especially, but even Grimes and Rokas). Would agree that he looks overmatched athletically at both ends. If he's not going to play PG at this level (and it doesn't appear the Lakers have any confidence in him to do so), he better figure out how to become a 38-40% 3 point shooter quick, because it would be hard to justify any kind of minutes for a defensive liability that isn't at least at that level of a threat on the offensive end. Remembered Mcbride from our game against WVU last year; looks to have improved considerably since then. Hopeful he can find a role in the rotation in Year 1.

It's "Mac and the Lakers" Didn't see the game but seems like Miles McBride (WVA) lit him up. Against elite competition at Texas Tech and in the NBA Mac seems like a bunny rabbit with one bad leg, who can really jump high but struggles to move laterally. I don't see him really slide laterally on defense or offense. Instead he needs the ball in his hands and then needs a head of steam and an open lane. It always seems like he's trying to either jump vertically or flail his arms around (like a wounded bunny rabbit) instead of sliding laterally and moving his entire body when playing defense. I actually thought he looked best in the Georgetown 3-4 guard offense. Where you had a point guard in Terrell Allen and two combo guards in Jagan and Javhon that could space the floor and all penetrate. I think if he can make the main Laker squad as the 15th man, even if he doesn't play a minute on the floor, he can probably win the dunk contest. That's probably the ideal scenario this year because I think there are things he has to work on (lateral sliding, 3pt shooting, point guard court awareness) to be an NBA level player.

Don't know how he slipped to the 2nd round. I think he will have a much better career than Corey Kispert.
