Word of God Chritian power forward Brandon Gardner has been taking visits this year. The 6-foot-7 four-star has visited LSU officially and visited Georgia, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Maryland and Georgetown unofficially. He also looks to visit Florida, Auburn, Kansas and Georgetown for a second time in the future. “When I'm taking these visits I'm paying attention to how the coaches interact with their players, if it’s a brotherhood, the education and things like that.” Georgetown: “We talk all the time. They just reached out recently actually. I feel like we're the closest right now. It's a great relationship.” He also knows what he wants in a school. “I need a great point guard, coaching staff, somebody who's going to develop me, get me where I need to go and teach me to be more of a man.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Auburn-LSU-Georgetown-Brandon-Gardner-181118409/

“I’m definitely going back,” Gardner said. “A player like me, I feel like I could change the whole program around" But Brandon, these Hoyatalk experts say that you high school kids don't care about legacy and all that you care about is yourself. I try to tell them that Ewing could sell the recruit on helping to rebuild the Hoya brand, the legacy that is Georgetown but they say that you kids don't care about that and they vehemently stated that point. LOL!!

Well it’s at least good to know that good players haven’t written us off after watching us this year.
Hope we get him.

Great news. We need some optimism. Strong-minded and skilled scholar-athletes.

We need all the talent we can get, but what we really need is a big where there is a glaring hole.

We need all the talent we can get, but what we really need is a big where there is a glaring hole. I think Ryan definitely has potential and should be better by 2023 but we will need another as both Malcolm and Tim will both graduate by then and probably be gone. We can use a 4 for sure as really we have one with JBills only. I believe D'ante is a 3 but probably can take some minutes.

I would love him to become a Hoya! And I hope he's still growing. I love his grind, heart and athleticism!

One Rivals forecast from Travis Graf predicting St. John's for Gardner. Georgetown has put it a lot of effort on Gardner. Losing a kid from South Carolina to St. John's would epitomize how bad things are at Georgetown.

No point in getting worked up about any recruits at this point. We have no idea what the future of this program looks like, neither do prospective recruits. Either Ewing will be fired and our recruiting will start from scratch; or Ewing will be trying to recruit to a program that went winless in its conference and probably followed it up by a season almost as bad. Recruiting news is basically irrelevant right now, at least until Ewing's immediate fate is determined. And if he is coming back as coach - it is likely that anyone he has been recruiting in recent years will have pushed Georgetown well down their preference list based on this season's debacle, and we probably won't be under serious consideration by players like Gardner.

We, Patrick Ewing, will need to bring in a significant power player to compliment him. Maybe that will help persuade him.

Where has the love gone? Who was his main GU recruiter? A lot of effort has been put into his recruitment. Someone should follow up asap.
