In the national rankings of June 1 and after the Prelims the Hoyas were ranked 31st, 11 places up from the previous rankings. So to come in 24th at the final NCAA champs, the Hoyas overachieved compared to the rest of the teams.

An examination of Track and Field News Four Form charts for the NCAAs in the 1500, SC, 5000, 10000.
Form chart #1 1500 No Hoyas (two Nova runners Dolan and Camber) SC No Hoyas 5000 0 10000 Robert in 6th
Form chart #2 1500 0 (Comber from Nova) SC Parker in 4th 5000 0 10000 Robert in 7th
Form chart #3 1500 0 (Comber) SC 0 5000 0 10000 Robert in 10th
Form chart #4 1500 Jack in 10th SC 0 5000 0 10000 0
Real results 1500 Jack in 6h SC Parker in 8th 5000 Robert in 5th 10000 Robert in 4th
They were consistent in leaving Robert out of the 5000m and in the last form chart left out Robert in the 10000m. They left out that the Hoyas scored All-American status in all these events.

Outstanding!!! Each of the three Hoya men was an All American in their event (top 8). While records are meant to be broken, Robert's 5/10K double is the fastest ever by a Hoya and sets a standard that may never be matched. His 5K of 13:19 last night is 7 seconds faster than Rob Koborsi's 13:26 from 2006 that is listed as #1 in the Hoya record book. And his 10K of 27:43 shatters the previous Hoya best of 28:24 by Dan Nunn in 2009. Robert actually has a faster 10000m that he ran in The Track Meet of 27:39.20. That should be the Georgetown record, one of the two marks that he ran even before stepping on the campus, but associated with Georgetown.

Personally I think that Georgetown records should be limited to NCAA races only...not races with pros, pacers or lights...just my opinion.

However, the Georgetown record book honors those times and records that were set in Europe vs international (pro) fields. And we are forgetting the elephant in the room: THE SHOES.
