Really like this addition to the team. You can never have too many shooters with size. I know his mom, and they're super excited. Ewing is really tapping into SC ballers. He also offered another of Wilson's teammates, Gregory Jackson, ranked 30 in the '23 class. I talk to his dad about Georgetown all the time. lol The one we really need to be on hard is Jazian Gortman. He's ranked 25th in the 2022 class. He is a stud, a true dog on O and D who can score from anywhere.

Funny, I at first thought that SC meant Southern Conference, but now I realize it's South Carolina.

Back to Kaiden, I am quite excited to see him play as we can have two very solid shooters from the start in the lineup with Carey 45% and Rice at 39% (before fatigue at the end of the season due to the compact schedule and playing time he had), he will be matured talent esp coming from the Citadel, also hope to see some smaller lineups with him used well to guard the perimeter, yeah the SoConf isn't a power but they were 10th last season overall (we were 4 over the ACC and Pac 12) so it really is only behind the American, A10 and the West Coast who added BYU to their ranks, so it really is the next best thing to high majors. Blair is such a legend but I think Rice can serve real well with this more unique team that we will have this season

I will say this about Mr. Rice: while I kind of have an idea how Tre King w perform & to a certain extent how Aminu, Riley and Beard w perform I don’t have a clue how Rice will do.
I will say that if Rice is a really solid shooter and helps space the floor for this team his impact could be gigantic. If he is a gunner with no conscience & does not it shoot it well he could be a net negative.
Bile this season did so many things and brought a physical presence to the team. Bile did struggle a lot early. With a “shooter” if the struggles are big early I don’t know if Rice can play his way out like Bile did.
Here is to hoping Rice finds his stroke and plays a big role this season.

The main thing I always see in the preseason stuff about Rice is his shooting but also his sub-par defense which concerns me... like I hope there is a viable plan to use him and his shooting well without him being a liability, or creating mismatches considering his size, unless his defense goes up significantly then I'd imagine him being used in a more early season Carey way of spurts to use that shooting range
Also shouldn't this be in the main section now?

Why not wait to view how he is used and performs in a Hoya uniform before second-guessing about his limitations? We will see soon enough.
