We got this. Patrick Ewing losing the Big East Conference title to Creighton at MSG just would not be right.

The two best things: 1.) We have a legit chance at dancing. 2.) The BET title record can only be broken by GTown this year.
Let's Go!!!!

I missed the Seton Hall game tonight, but I will be planning my day tomorrow around the game tomorrow night. Forget about NCAA bids, a Big East Tournament trophy would be an incredible achievement for this team. We have had few chances to play for trophies in recent years. These guys have done an almost flawless job of positioning themselves to play for one tomorrow. Coach Ewing definitely had this team ready to play this week.
I always thought our side of the bracket set up well for us. If we could get past Marquette, I liked our chances to try and make a run. I think Creighton, though, will be our toughest opponent. Creighton is a very good team, and we will have to play inspired basketball to get past them. We did it once this year, though, and we can do it again.
I’m so excited there is more basketball to be played. Let’s go Hoyas!!

Great setup for us. We know we can beat them and they will be coming off a big high as most were calling that the finals tonight.

Its not The Hall's fault but I love that the media and bracket dummies all just talked about how the Pirates likely needed more work to do even if they won tonight.
I hate eating our own but...
X....dead.
Hall....dead.

I lucked out and found it there after I accidentally recorded the pregame.

They should all be hooked up to IVs til morning 🤣
Dante on Zegarowski will be the key matchup. Our defense peaking at the right time feels like a perfect scenario vs. Creighton. They won't outphysical you like Uconn would have tried. Keep Z in check, never leave Ballack. And win the boards. This is very doable!
For Big John. For a program and it's fans craving the smallest bit of success for far too long. For Ewing to get some well deserved vindication from many who doubted his coaching chops. For Juggy and Morko who weathered one of the tougher 4 year stints in modern Georgetown history.
See yall tomorrow...because we've got a championship to win.

Former player returns to his alma mater to become head coach The best players leave the team, leaving the coach with a new team players struggle to listen to Coach's instructions: "REBOUND!" and "MOVE!" A group of the townspeople try to get him fired Team comes together to play as one and makes it to the championship game against the mighty favorites

It doesn't matter who we are playing. Play our game and we can't be stopped.
Find Jamarko in rhythm for that first shot. Shut down their top options. REBOUND. Win the 50/50s.
The NCAAs are there for the taking...I'll bet that Dante will reach out and take it. Plus the post season monkey is off the back of Jamarko and Jahvon, keep gettin your Ws boys!

Its not The Hall's fault but I love that the media and bracket dummies all just talked about how the Pirates likely needed more work to do even if they won tonight. I hate eating our own but... X....dead. Hall....dead. They can benefit from the NCAA shares we'll be earning them next week. The last time we faced Creighton, they made one key adjustment that really swung the 2nd game in their favor: putting Wahab in a PnR because they knew he'd either overhelp and be slow to recover, or if he went to drop coverage, he could still be exploited at the rim due a speed disadvantage vs. Bishop or biting on shot fakes. We've been slightly better with not going for all the shot fakes in this tourney and a lot better with both not overhelping but also rotating when necessary, but here's where I think Q/Tim really just needs to stay at home on the PnR and dare Bishop to shoot from the perimeter. Bishop's shot four 3's all year; if he wants to start doing his best Jermaine Samuels impression, you let him and tip your cap if he's successful. Even if he's taking long 2's, I'd still rather give up those shots and focus on cleaning the glass and contesting in the paint vs. giving up layups and risking unnecessary fouls. The two key stats again: turnovers and rebounds. We're averaging 12.7 TO/g this tourney, which is a huge improvement over earlier in the year. We gave it up 24 times in the last Creighton game, with a lot of them occurring because we just weren't strong enough with the ball in traffic or smart with our entry passes (something we've done a MUCH better job of in this tournament). If we do that again we may as well warm up the bus now. Can we keep the turnover differential close? We expect to have a clear rebounding edge with our size, but this is a Creighton team that just posted +17 rebounds vs. a UConn team that embarrassed us badly twice on the glass. Clearly they will be ready to hit the boards tomorrow; we need to show a lot of fight in winning second chance points. Everyone fears Creighton's 3s (37.1%), but damnit we can shoot too (36.5% from deep). If we can keep FG attempts close, I like our chances to win this game at the line. We shoot it better than they do and we get there more often. We need to be aware of where Ballock is on the floor at all times, especially in transition where he is most dangerous. With his range, I consider him the most dangerous shooter in the conference by a wide margin. He hurt us in both games this season (8-17 from 3) and we cannot let him get any open looks. Unsure who gets the assignment, but if it's Bile/Carey they'll have to stay disciplined in making sure they closeout without fouling or giving up an easy drive. Harder than it sounds. Hope the guys have fun tomorrow night. They've earned this opportunity. They belong on this stage. Let it fly and have no fear. It's time to show the rest of the country that haven't been paying attention just how much better we've gotten in the last 6 weeks.
