How satisfying is it to be the lead on ESPN.com, considering they normally don't give the Big East all that much attention. Attachments:

It’s game day! I can’t wait to see how tonight goes. Creighton is a challenge — I think they are the best team we have faced during this run. Nonetheless, I do think we match up better with them than UCONN. I was a bit surprised by the line, too, but I don’t care at this point. We have been beating the odds all week. Now, we have given ourselves a chance to do something special. I really don’t have any magic keys to the game. I just want us to keep momentum going, play hard, and see where things end up tonight. This is at least our biggest game in six years, since we faced Utah with a chance to advance to the Sweet 16. Hoya Saxa!! Let’s get it done tonight!

Which team needs it more? We have to win to go dancing. Creighton s dancing, win or lose.

Tonight is our night!
Equality vs Racism The Nation's Capital vs Flyover Country Big East Legends vs Big East Fill Ins
The powers that be will not let us lose in Pat's house during the Big John tribute year. The Big East is the most progressive conference when it comes to race issues. They don't want that man hoisting the trophy. Not this year. That is not how things work.
Everyone get your towels on your shoulders because you are going to need them when we are cutting down the nets. Hoya Saxa!

How satisfying is it to be the lead on ESPN.com, considering they normally don't give the Big East all that much attention. Just shows they know FOX has the game with the better story. I mean ESPN is stuck with Georgia Tech versus Florida State....and Tech got there because Virginia wasn't around to play the Yellow Jackets.

Just saw that Creighton is the 325th best FT shooting team in the country. Could be a game that comes down to the line.

All I really ask for tonight is for the team to come out with intensity. It's the fourth game in four days, and I'm sure it's been emotionally exhausting. But particularly for the members of the team who haven't made the tourney, and may never have another chance, I hope everyone brings it tonight. Leave it all out on the floor and enjoy themselves.

Just saw that Creighton is the 325th best FT shooting team in the country. Could be a game that comes down to the line. Yes, Creighton only shoots 64.8% from the line, which is pretty bad. They also don't draw that many free throws. In fact, only 13.5% of their points ceom from the line, which is very, very low. Otherwise, however, their shooting is great. They are 8th best in the country shooting twos (56.9%) and 39th on threes (37.1%). Our defense was great last night at closing out on three point shooters, we will absolutely need to do that just as well tonight. Creighton is also not very good at forcing turnovers on defense, so that should hopefully help us out, as well.

Massive game. One more Hoyas. One more. And we can dance.
Q's defense is going to be key in this one. They will try to take advantage of him. He has to be smart in drop coverage and force Bishop to shoot it from deep. If he beats you like that, they earned it. Q has to be smart inside and there probably won't be a ton of help.
Whatever we do, DONT LEAVE BALLOCK. The last thing we need is him catching fire. Stick with him at all times. Zegarowski is too good not to get his, and I trust Dante to contain him, but don't let Ballock beat you from deep.
I think the biggest matchup on both ends will be Bile vs Jefferson. Both guys are their team's engines. Their energy goes as far as those guys take them. We have to keep Jefferson off the glass and we can't let him create so easily. These guys pretty much want to do the exact same thing. Both are absolutely vital to their teams. Whoever wins this matchup will be in a big spot. If there's ever been a time for Bile to prove how much better he is than all of us thought he was, now is the time. Tired legs, slower movement, wanting to save energy and conserve a step or two, this is the time for Bile to step up and show that he ain't ever slowing down and to take it straight to Creighton.
Against this team, we have to finish strong. Go to the bucket with force and finish strong. Bishop and Kalkbrenner are guys you can beat inside if you finish strong. If you don't, it leads to a run-out, and a three-ball is going up. Finish strong and we can score and limit their easy opportunities.
We can score on these guys. We can beat them off the dribble and we can score inside on them. Q can score on his matchup. Blair will get his. Jamorko will get his. Dante will do what Dante does. It has to come together. Leave everything out there. Don't give an inch. Take it straight to them. One more baby. One more. Close them out. Hoya Saxa

I hope he takes it personally and brings it on defense today. If we don't leave Ballock, it will really signal some growth.

Can you imagine how insane it would be at the Garden tonight if they allowed fans in? Every Hoya alum within 200 miles would be there plus all the NYC Knick fans and all the fans of underdogs.

I thought the same thing. Having a crowd tonight would have been spectacular, and the first time in a long time where we played a big game in front of a crowd with the crowd behind us. I would have definitely been there tonight if there were tickets. I was at our last BET championship game in 2010, and losing that one hurt. I really hope we take it down tonight. Plus, if we win tonight, we'd have the most BET titles (one more than Connecticut). Let's go!

As happy as this would make me, at this point many "experts" have Syracuse in by a few spots. Palm has them as an 11 seed. But maybe we could at least knock them into the play-in games.
