I’d like to think the program hasn’t sunk so low that we need to tie an assistants job conditionally to bringing in a recruit. I’d you think the staff can’t recruit the DMV as it is think how that looks to locals. Do you think Nickelberry would be there if they weren't confident in him bringing at least Murray? I think it's one of the most obvious things about the program now that they see assistant coaching spots as transactional vehicles for acquiring players. That is really bad and embarrassing.

Sorry, this really stings. Sure Ward would not have been a cure-all. If we were terrible last year with Aminu, how much better would we have been this year with Ward? But where exactly does that leave us without Ward? If we don't see some major transfer impact at the 4 and 5, we are going to stink again, maybe worse than last year, if that's at all possible. All GU fans would be making a mistake by getting their hopes up. Look at the last five years.

My god this is one of the silliest complaints on this board. As long as it's legal I really don't care how you do it, just get some freaking talent in the door. You think you win points in college basketball by being piuos? You don't. It's a dirty game and if you want to be good you have to p]ay by the same rules everyone else does. John Thompson understood this. Unfortunately the current hierarchy at Georgetown does not and that more than anything is why we suck. Coach K, Calipari, Pitino, Bill Self, Jay Wright etc. all have done 10x worse than what you guys are complaining about and guess what? Nobody cares. All of us would love to see our favorite b-ball team have similar success to what these guys have enjoyed recently. If this type of stuff is too distasteful for you than you really shouldn't be complaining that your team is bad because this is nothing. On top of that Coach Knickleberry is extremely qualified and has the strongest resume of any assistant coach Pat has had by a good margin.
