Former President Trump and his two sons will appear for depositions later this year after a lawsuit alleged that they worked with a fraudulent marketing company. A class-action lawsuit brought in 2018 alleged that Trump and his family members misled the plaintiffs into making bad investments, according to a report from NBC. CNN reported that the lawsuit alleges that the former president and three of his adult children - Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump - accepted secret payments in exchange for the use of his show "The Celebrity Apprentice" and other events to boost ACN, a telecommunications marketing company. The suit alleges that ACN used the Trump brand to appeal to teens. SOURCE: The Hill, March 25, 2022 The entirety of the defense should be that any rational person should reasonably expected to know that any investment related to Donald Trump is, by definition, a bad investment. Are there businesses he hasn't failed at?

And the legal hits on the orange psychopath and his corrupt family and organization just keep on coming!
New York (CNN)A New York state judge ordered the Trump Organization to comply by the end of April with a subpoena from the New York attorney general as part of its long-running civil investigation into the former president and his real estate company.
"I think we can all agree we want this to end at some point for numerous reasons," Judge Arthur Engoron said during a hearing Monday.
The judge also ordered an e-discovery firm hired to audit Trump's compliance with the subpoena issued over two years ago to produce weekly reports identifying specific information about whose devices have been searched and what hasn't been searched. The Trump Organization must also respond in weekly reports over any differences discovered by the firm.

Seems Trump’s social media venture is headed the way of Trump University, Trump’s Atlantic City casinos, Trump’s charities, Trump mattresses, Trump steaks, Trump clothing, Trump perfume, Trump lighting, Trump floor coverings, Trump eyewear, the Trump presidency and American democracy. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/04/01/truth-social-trump-network-propaganda/

He's failed at almost everything he's ever tried. Imagine if he ever had to work for a living? There's a zero percent chance he wouldn't be homeless. He wouldn't even have to be completely incompetent (which, he clearly is). He'd say something stupid to his boss and be fired within 2 weeks. He would be, literally, unemployable.

[T]here was both shock and relief when New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, the Republican speaker for the night, weighed in on Donald Trump. “He’s f---ing crazy,” Sununu said to laughter and applause — and, notably, no booing. “I don’t think he’s so crazy that you could put him in a mental institution,” he added. “But I think if he were in one, he ain’t getting out.” www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2022/04/03/gridiron-club-dinner/

Ha ha ha. Hire a moron for CEO, what do you expect? Here’s a truth former president Donald Trump doesn’t want to hear: His social network, Truth Social, is falling apart. The app — a Twitter look-alike where posts are called “truths” — has seen its downloads plunge so low that it has fallen off the App Store charts. The company is losing investors, executives and attention. And though his adult sons just joined, Trump himself hasn’t posted there in weeks. Devin Nunes, the former member of Congress from California who gave up the seat that he held for 19 years to run the company, had said the app would be “fully operational” by the end of March. But it has been hamstrung by technical issues, including a waiting list that has blocked hundreds of thousands of potential users during its crucial first weeks online. www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/04/05/trump-truth-social-media-failure/

Most likely this is a counterintelligence investigation to determine if any of the classified documents compromised national security and does not necessarily result in a criminal probe. The Justice Department has begun taking steps to investigate former president Donald Trump’s removal of presidential records to Mar-a-Lago — some of which were labeled “top secret,” people familiar with the matter said. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/04/07/trump-boxes-archives-investigation-maralago/

The biggest loser. The orange psychopath. When we last checked in with Truth Social, the alternative social media network launched by Donald Trump after he was booted from Twitter and temporarily Facebook for inciting a violent insurrection, things were not going great. The February rollout had been a predictable show, as would-be users were hit with numerous glitches, ridiculously long wait times, and, in many cases, a message that they’d been placed on a wait list that appeared to be more than 100,000 people long. SimilarWeb, which provides website data analysis, had estimated that the average visitor to the site spent only 90 seconds there, compared to the seven and nine minutes users spent on conservative networks Gettr and Gab, respectively, The Daily Beast reported. Trump himself, a former Twitter obsessive who’d once sent 200 tweets and retweets in a single day, had posted just once since the launch, telling followers, “Your favorite President will see you soon!” Given that Trump ascended to the White House in part based on the lie that he was an extremely successful businessman, many people are undoubtedly curious if he and the Truth Social team have been able to turn things around. And it appears that the answer is: Not at all! In fact, things have gotten worse. www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/04/donald-trump-truth-social-disaster

Is the pressure getting to the orange psychopath? Former president Donald Trump walked out on an interview with Piers Morgan after the British broadcaster challenged him about his false claims about widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. In a contentious exchange, Morgan told Trump that he had not produced “hard evidence” of voter fraud, prompting the former president to lash out, according to the New York Post. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/04/20/trump-voter-fraud-interview/

The same thing would have happened a month ago or a year ago. How dare anyone challenge Trump on anything?

Orange psychopath-adjacent corruption. He surrounds himself with con men and grifters. And the POS Bannon walked away with a corrupt pardon. NEW YORK — Brian Kolfage, a disabled veteran who headed a $25 million fundraising effort for a U.S.-Mexico border wall with the help of former Trump aide Stephen K. Bannon, has pleaded guilty in connection to defrauding donors for his own gain. Kolfage, an amputee who lost three limbs serving in Iraq, could serve more than five years in prison. He was accused of using more than $350,000 in donations on personal expenses such as home renovations and vehicle payments, after telling “We Build the Wall” campaign contributors that he would not take a cut of the collections or give himself a salary. On Thursday, in federal court in Manhattan, he admitted to siphoning off money for himself and also pleaded guilty to tax crimes for failing to report that income. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/04/21/kolfage-bannon-wall-plea/

The orange psychopath is the perfect "leader" for the MAGA GOP cult - lawless. $10,000 per day fine until the psychopath complies.
By Luc Cohen and Karen Freifeld
(Reuters) - A New York judge on Monday held former President Donald Trump in contempt of court for not producing documents subpoenaed in the state attorney general's civil probe of his business practices, and ordered Trump to be fined $10,000 per day until he complies.
Trump lost a bid to quash a subpoena from state Attorney General Letitia James, then failed to produce all the documents by a court-ordered March 3 deadline, later extended to March 31 at his lawyers' request.
Justice Arthur Engoron ruled that a contempt finding was appropriate because of what the judge called "repeated failures" to hand over materials and that it was not clear Trump had conducted a complete search for responsive documents.
"Mr. Trump … I know you take your business seriously, and I take mine seriously. I hereby hold you in civil contempt," the judge said, although Trump himself was not in the courtroom.
