The bar has now been lowered so far that "Republicans" are throwing their support to the most bigoted, hateful, stupid, truth denying folks they can put up to elect. The stupider and more hateful, the better. If they're entirely unqualified or uneducated, it's like a power boost. Keep voting with your "wallets" folks. You're actively destroying the experiment that was America. In the vernacular of the old, actual Republican party, if you hate it so much, leave.

Trump's family has been corrupt for decades. It's not a secret to anyone. They've never been nailed to the wall but Donald Trump is far more stupid than his father. I wouldn't be entirely shocked if there are enough loose ends to convict him. But, getting him in a triple XL jumpsuit is just too much to hope for, IMO.

We can only hope. “The basic thing they needed to actually get right, to get someone in the door, they couldn’t get right,” said Bill Fitzgerald, a privacy researcher. The “ineptitude of the rollout,” he added, could be a warning of future issues ahead: “There is no better sign of a rushed implementation than the fact that you can’t onboard anybody. So I’m hard-pressed to understand why anyone would trust that these people would keep their information safe.” www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/02/22/trump-truth-social-disaster/

Nobody competent at IT would work for Trump. They'd know he would stiff them, when it came time for them to get paid.

Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz, seasoned attorneys who were largely overseeing the investigation, are leaving their jobs less than two months after a new district attorney, Alvin Bragg, took control of the local prosecutors office, a spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday. A person briefed on the criminal probe, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal information, said Bragg has signaled to others he is less interested in the case than was his predecessor, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., whose term ended at the end of 2021. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/02/23/prosecutors-resign-trump-criminal-investigation/

But "Biden is no better" right?
WASHINGTON (AP) — From the earliest days of his first presidential campaign, Donald Trump aggressively challenged the pillars of Republican foreign policy that defined the party since World War II.
He mocked John McCain's capture during the Vietnam War, validated autocrats with his platitudes, questioned longtime military and security alliances and embraced an isolationist worldview. And to the horror of many GOP leaders at the time, it worked, resonating with voters who believed, in part, that a bipartisan establishment in Washington had brokered trade deals that hurt American workers and recklessly stumbled into so-called “forever wars.”
But Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine is posing a serious test for Trump and his “America First” doctrine at a moment when he is eyeing another presidential run and using this year's midterm elections to keep bending the GOP to his will. He's largely alone in his sustained praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin as “smart,” an assessment he reiterated last week during speeches to donors and conservative activists. His often deferential vice president, Mike Pence, split with him on the issue late Friday.
The multinational partnerships that Trump repeatedly undermined, meanwhile, have allowed the West to quickly band together to hobble Russia's economy with coordinated sanctions. The NATO alliance, which Trump once dismissed as “obsolete,” is flexing its strength as a foil to Russia's aggression.

As the old saying goes, "A fool and his money are soon parted." The morons who give to the orange psychopath are truly fools. Former president Donald Trump’s political group sent at least 15 emails in recent weeks offering small-dollar donors the chance to win a coveted prize if they gave money: dinner with Trump in New Orleans last Saturday. But no such winner was flown to New Orleans last weekend, according to four people familiar with the matter. No flight or “very nice” hotel was booked. Trump had no individual meeting with a small-dollar donor, instead only privately greeting a handful of Republican Party donors who gave large checks, taking pictures with some of the party’s most well-heeled members and speaking to a larger group of donors who each gave tens of thousands of dollars. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/03/11/trump-pac-new-orleans-contest-winner/

Somehow they haven’t made the connection. I’m surprised he hasn’t established a tax-free religious group. He can't handle a once a week commitment. He wants the plate to be passed around but he doesn't want to have to do anything to get the money. Also, he's been tax free the majority of his adult life. Seems redundant.

Shyster old senile lawyer files lawsuit on behalf of orange psychopath. . . Might there be a statute of limitations issue??? Comey, McCabe, and other federal officials will likely be entitled to Department of Justice representation or private counsel paid for by the United States if they request it. See 28 C.F.R.. Section 50.15. Rule 11 is calling for Mr. Ticktin, shyster old senile lawyer! Former President Donald Trump is suing 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in a sprawling case that accuses her of conspiring with dozens of other actors — frequent targets of Trump’s conspiracy theories and rage — to topple his presidency. The sprawling, 108-page complaint reads like a greatest-hits of Trump’s long-held grievances against the public figures most closely associated with the investigation of his campaign’s ties to Russia in 2016. It stitches together disparate details unearthed in the ongoing investigation by special counsel John Durham, as well as long-known details about the FBI’s Russia probe and special counsel Robert Mueller’s subsequent investigation. www.politico.com/news/2022/03/24/donald-trump-sues-hillary-clinton-and-allies-russia-00020174(a) Under the procedures set forth below, a federal employee (hereby defined to include present and former Federal officials and employees) may be provided representation in civil, criminal and Congressional proceedings in which he is sued, subpoenaed, or charged in his individual capacity, not covered by § 15.1 of this chapter, when the actions for which representation is requested reasonably appear to have been performed within the scope of the employee's employment and the Attorney General or his designee determines that providing representation would otherwise be in the interest of the United States. No special form of request for representation is required when it is clear from the proceedings in a case that the employee is being sued solely in his official capacity and only equitable relief is sought. (See USAM 4-13.000) www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/28/50.15Michael Bromwich, a former Justice Department inspector general now in private practice, said in an email: “I hope Trump’s lawyers got their money up front. I hope they have something other than Fox News stories to support their allegations so they can avoid Rule 11 sanctions. And if the case ever gets to discovery, I would expect Trump’s own deposition to last days if not weeks. It would be the opportunity many have sought for the past 5 years to have him testify under oath. He’s proven in the past he’s not so good at that.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/03/24/trump-sues-hillary-clinton-others-over-2016-election-he-won/

What do you expect when you have moron Devin Nunes as your CEO?? Ha ha ha ha. Morons. As Donald Trump weighs another run for the White House, the twice-impeached former president has made a point of embarking on new business opportunities to increase his wealth and maintain his personal brand. But unfortunately for Trump, one of his most heavily promoted ventures—Truth Social—is currently looking less like a success and more like an embarrassing dud. www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-cant-stop-whining-about-his-failing-social-media-app-truth-social

In a weird way, this reminds me a bit of the Scopes Monkey Trial. Be careful what you wish for, plaintiffs.

Former President Trump and his two sons will appear for depositions later this year after a lawsuit alleged that they worked with a fraudulent marketing company.
A class-action lawsuit brought in 2018 alleged that Trump and his family members misled the plaintiffs into making bad investments, according to a report from NBC.
CNN reported that the lawsuit alleges that the former president and three of his adult children - Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump - accepted secret payments in exchange for the use of his show "The Celebrity Apprentice" and other events to boost ACN, a telecommunications marketing company.
The suit alleges that ACN used the Trump brand to appeal to teens.
