Back to "regular" Presidential lies!! The Biden era presages a return to typical presidential dishonesty, without the cult of personality that defined the Trump era. But presidential lies were destructive long before Trump appeared, so the press and the public should resist the temptation to assume that the Biden administration will always be on the level, or that its dishonesties can be forgiven because Biden’s predecessor wielded falsehood with such abandon. There will be moments when the public interest conflicts with the political interest of the White House, and during some of these moments, the president will lie. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/01/biden-will-lie-you/617820/?utm_campaign=the-atlantic&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebookQ: How can you tell when a President is lying? A: His lips are moving.

Amazing. No self-congratulatory tweets bragging about what a great negotiator he is. WTF is going on!? Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday signed a bill extending the last remaining nuclear arms control treaty between Russia and the United States a week before the pact was due to expire. Both houses of the Russian parliament voted unanimously Wednesday to extend the New START treaty for five years. Putin and U.S. President Joe Biden had discussed the nuclear accord a day earlier, and the Kremlin said they agreed to complete the necessary extension procedures in the next few days. apnews.com/article/putin-signs-russia-us-arms-treaty-b5ed84ea01c994be71a1bc7c6d5e624c

And anyone is surprised? This is the story of political families in DC forever. Biden is simply the latest flavor. They all line up at the trough.

Donald Nixon, Billy Carter, Roger Clinton, Neil Bush. . . .Unlike our HoyaTalk Republicans regarding their morally-bankrupt political insurrection party, I don't hesitate to link stuff critical of Biden. In the midst of his campaign for president, Joe Biden took his younger brother, Frank, aside to issue a warning. “For Christ’s sake, watch yourself,” Biden said of his brother’s potential business dealings, according to a person with knowledge of the conversation. “Don’t get sucked into something that would, first of all, hurt you.” www.politico.com/news/2021/01/28/frank-biden-business-dealings-463662We were immediately struck by these comments during a “Made in America” ceremony to announce new rules to prod federal agencies to buy more U.S.-manufactured goods. After all, former president Donald Trump frequently boasted about his “Buy American” efforts. And yet here was a figure we had never heard of before — which suggested Trump’s administration had fallen down on the job. Every number needs context. This one not only lacks it, but it cannot be verified. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/01/27/bidens-jab-that-foreign-company-contracts-went-up-30-under-trump/

Did I read this wrong or did Joe Biden appoint the law partner of his son’s criminal defense attorney as head of DOJ Criminal Division? He didn’t really do that did he? While his son is under active investigation? Couldn’t be, right?

Ex-best friend of a guy's sister who saw Hunter Biden's piano teacher's cousin in law gets top DOJ post.

Biggest sign that there's Democrat in the White House is Elvado is back to chasing fake controversies.

If Biden was really savvy he would just fire the FBI director who was investigating his family. Do me a favor pretend his last name is Trump and act accordingly, or at least get your facts straight before embarrassing yourself any further.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer is Chris Clark of Latham and Watkins 2. Until 1/20/21 Clark was a Partner of Nicholas McQuaid of Latham and Watkins 3. They worked on cases together (not Biden’s case) 4. Joe Biden appointed Clark’s partner McQuaid to head DOJ criminal division Is any of this not correct ?

For those who don't understand FoxNews brain Elvado is claiming Nic McQuaid, who was Deputy White House Counsel for Obama and Assistant US Attorney at SDNY, is compromised because he worked at the same law firm as Hunter's lawyer. A law firm that employs only 2,700 attorneys. Nic McQuaid was based in DC. Hunter's lawyer was based in NY, and despite the fact he is very qualified and worked for the White house under Obama the only reason he was hired was to save Hunter. See, it makes perfect sense.

But to Evaldo's point, I don't think the AAG for Crim has been named yet, so I'm not sure what he's talking about. In any event, I'm not sure what conspiracy theory one could tease out of that. DOJ officials routinely come out of big law practices that have many cases in front of the divisions or sections that they lead within the Department. And surely there is nothing unusual or illicit about representing the president's son. So not up there with Jewish lasers from outer-space, but not exactly convincing either.

Just saw the posts above. This is for Acting AAG. Honestly, this is such a non-issue I don't know where to begin.
