Sorry to hear of your loss Ed, but I know she was comforted by your and your childrens' love for her and presence at her side. Her physical presence may be gone but her spirit will never truly leave any of you. Will keep all of you in my prayers.

Very sorry for your loss, Ed. None of us knows what to say in times like these, but I hope you'll take some comfort in knowing that we wish we knew.

I posted last night here but I wanted to say that I've been thinking of you, Ed, and your family all day. I couldn't get 61 years out of my mind and the spectrum of experiences you must've had together. So many ups and downs with the constant being you there for one another. There must be so many great memories. And, necessarily, some sad ones as well. Especially in 2020, when there's been so much pain and loss already, for your personal world to be so drastically changed by loss in your own home, I can't imagine the heartache you must be feeling. I'm not a person of faith but I'm sending every ounce of love I can your way. If there's anything any of us here can do to help you in any way, I'm certain I'm not alone in wanting to do exactly that. Love to you and your family and to all of those that cared for your wife.

Need your prayers. Sunday night I lost my wife of 61 years. Went peacefully at home with my four children and I holding onto her. Praying for you, EasyEd. That is the toughest. Lots of great memories in that time you shared. Hold onto that, band always remember to celebrate life as a way not to dwell on loss. Your Hoyatalk family has got you.

61 years is like the Celtics or Alabama/49er/Jack Kent Cooke or Pats and Steelers dynasty. An organization, franchise, collaboration of the highest level. Such dynasties are legendary and have a lot of good memories and those things should be honored and remembered.
I think some kind of project that honors and celebrates that dynasty is cathartic. In Bridge to Terabithia the boy builds a bridge to honor a memory

With the holiday season coming up, I just wanted to send love to you, Ed, and to your family. I know that 2020 has been horrific for us all but especially so for you and yours. I know it's a time of deep sadness and I wish there was something I could say or do to make that a bit less for you. In the end, we're Hoya family. As such, I'll be thinking of you and yours and sending love and very much hoping that you all find a way to have some laughs and to find a little bit of peace even if they're mixed with a bunch of tears. Happy Thanksgiving, Ed.
