Yes, I do feel that this is ticky tack but if me not saying unobtainable makes you feel better whatever. Whatever floats your boat.

Does anyone know how the recruiting trail for Anthony McClain is going of the '07 class?

Yes, I do feel that this is ticky tack but if me not saying unobtainable makes you feel better whatever. Whatever floats your boat. It's not about making me feel better. Unobtainable means you think that there is a 0% chance that Duke Crews comes to the hilltop. Not only that, it means you think he is better than our school, for some reason, which is ridiculous.

That's not necessarily what unobtainable means. It's true that it means there is 0% chance of getting him, but it could be for reasons other than "he is better than our school." I don't know all of the details about Crews, but not every recruit is always obtainable, for reasons other than being "too good" for a school. Some kids make demands that coaches aren't willing to meet, making them unobtainable for that school. A player might demand a package deal with a friend which a coach is unwilling (or unable, due to scholarship limits) make. He might turn down an offer based on the fact that he knows a school requires their players to go to class, which he might refuse to do. It need not even be scandalous. Do you think we would have a realistic shot at a top 20 player if he happened to be the son of Calhoun or Boeheim? Or conversely, if a recruit was very bright and interested in political science, and Georgetown had been heavily recruiting him, do you think he would be obtainable for UCon or exCUSE?
I'm not saying any of these specific examples necessarily apply to Crews, but no matter how great a school/program/team may be, a player may be looking for something only available somewhere else.

Thank you. Enough said on the unnecessary "obtainable" discussion. As for Anthony McClain, I haven't heard much about him all I know is that he was a high school teammate of our incoming Freshman Jessie Sapp. Maybe Sapp will be able to talk him into giving Gtown a chance if he already isn't thinking about it.

Last I read we were one of the top teams on McClains list, along with Kansas and one other team (I think maybe Va Tech). He also mentioned that Georgetown has been pushing hardest, making the most effort for his services. He also said that he liked the way we treat our big men, and that he liked us because we were so "big" in the area, which I thought was pretty cool. Havent heard much about him since then, but I think iff you had to say he was leaning one way or the other, you'd have to think he's a GU lean, though its obviously early. Hopefully if Sapp is successful, that will encourage him to come. He'd be the perfect fit here IMO.

Pat Ewing II also attended NCA, where Sapp played and McClain plays. However, I am not sure whether Ewing was there at the time with them, but it something to keep in mind.
