I could be wrong but I don’t think he’s ready to start at the power for spot that is open by Tre King’s departure. I would almost rather play Rice as a small ball stretch 4 shooting threes or maybe even give Holloway a chance.
Just think if Sibley had stayed he would have been playing major minutes right now

I think Jalin's ready to step up. I think he's the key piece in all of this. Him being thrown into the fire early will be a good thing. I'm also expecting kobe Clark to take a leap.

Perhaps I missed something, but why all of sudden a bunch of new posts on Jalin?
Is it because Tre King isn't on the team or is he rumored to be looking like an impact player already?

I noticed in the game against Syracuse, he made a mistake. Coach substituted him out. As Billingsley was making his way down the bench, Coach grabbed him and talked to him a bit, giving him some instructions. I still believe Billingsley could have a role this season.

I have no doubt that Billingsley will have a role on this team as the season goes on. He gives the team an athletic and skilled power forward that they really don't have other than him. Holloway is doing great in the post and playing within himself but he may get exposed if he needs to cover guys on the perimeter. The game needs to slow down for Jalin and he needs to figure out what works for him, and what doesn't, in the college game but I think when he does, he is going to be a big part of this roster. I really like his overall game and skill set

It'll be interesting to see, as the BE schedule progresses, how much we shorten the number of minutes that go to the bench. Billingsley and , Riley, are probably the 2 main candidates for losing minutes, but there are reasons to keep them both on the floor at least 8 mins or so per game, more if they respond with good play early or if the matchups are in their favor. It's unusual for any team, though, to give minutes to as many as 10-11 players as they get into the heart of their league schedule.

5-10 minutes a game for those guys, please- not zero... Looking at Howard’s stats, we’ll need to cover bigs on the perimeter. Given our bigs’ mobility in the half-court, Billingsley needs to help.

Some are hearing word out of the program that he is showing up very positively Someone somewhere was exaggerating. He certainly needs more work. But you can see the upside as a college player. Lots of fight, knows how to use his body. I can see him being a beast in a couple of years.

I predict some positive play by Billingsley tonight.

I agree, but the hype did him no favors. We should probably be used to it. I would say Aminu has met the hype, and Ryan has met his moderated expectations. But the other three freshmen are not nearly as ready as hyped. But that's normal -- there's a crew on here where the prospects are always already better than the players here. I try to ignore the expectations set by that hype because it's really not fair to the player.

Fair enough- but all five freshmen look like players, albeit at different levels of development. All look to have the talent to really contribute in the Big East with time.

Nice stroke from three on Saturday. Yes, great to see him hit that first outside shot. But wasn't it a two?
