Just a big joke to those MFers that they killed a young black man? God save us.

This is why the “one bad apple...” thing is bull crap. This is soulless; it’s such a callous disregard for the death of a black man that didn’t do anything. When “bad cops” do bad things and other cops protect them (or make light of a tragedy like this), that makes them bad cops too. As an aside, my wife is from Littleton, and it’s well known in the area that Aurora is a cesspool of racism. This goes doubly for the police department. That’s probably one that should be rebuilt from the ground up with all new officers.

The preeminent Evangelical publication CT acknowledges systemic racism. Are white Evangelicals listening? Will they continue to support the racist sociopath? (Sadly, the answer is "yes" according to a recent Pew survey) Two original sins have plagued this nation from its inception: the destruction of its native inhabitants and the institution of slavery. Both sprang from a failure to see an equal in the racial other. As Bishop Claude Alexander has said, racism was in the amniotic fluid out of which our nation was born. There was a virus present in the very environment that nurtured the development of our country, our culture, and our people. The virus of racism infected our church, our Constitution and laws, our attitudes and ideologies. We have never fully defeated it. It’s time for white evangelicals to confess that we have not taken the sin of racism with the gravity and seriousness it deserves. The deep grief and anger over the death of George Floyd is about more than police brutality. It’s about a society and culture that allowed for the abuse and oppression of African Americans over and over and over again. We have been a part of that society and culture, and sometimes we have been the last to join the fight for racial justice. www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2020/june-web-only/justice-too-long-delayed.html

What's the odds the racist sociopath commutes Dylan Roof's death sentence? He could claim he is respecting the wishes of those parishioners who forgave him while giving a "wink and a nod" to his white supremacist base.

1) Why does the president think Bubba Wallace personally has to apologize for a crew member finding a noose in a garage and bringing it to NASCAR’s attention, prompting NASCAR to notify Wallace and launch an investigation?
2) We've gone from defending statues of the confederacy to defending the rebel flag.
If this is the stuff Trump does to appeal to his base, what does that tell you he thinks about his base?

Gee, I never figured General Milley to be a "deep stater." Go figure. Trump cultists heads must be exploding. Whatever will the white supremacist base of Trump do??? The military’s top officer on Thursday described Confederate leaders as traitors and said he is taking a “hard look” at renaming 10 Army installations that honor them, despite President Trump’s opposition to any changes. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2020/07/09/milley-confederate-bases-trump/

The fact that these people see no problem here is in no way shocking.

The country should be so lucky. Go away *ucker! Does anyone think *ucker was unwitting of his writer's past writings??? Well, the Trump cultists/Fox Propaganda consumers are clueless enough to believe it. Neff's racism likely a BFOQ for the job of Carlson's writer. The writer, Blake Neff, had worked at “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for more than three years. In an interview with the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, Neff boasted, “Anything he’s reading off the teleprompter, the first draft was written by me,” and added that “I’ve gotten used to what he likes and what he thinks about.” The magazine noted that Neff and Carlson “see eye to eye on most issues.” www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/07/14/tucker-carlson-whitewashes-racism-his-show-his-former-top-writer/?tid=pm_pop&itid=pm_pop

CBS News, July 14, 2020. The racist sociopath doubling down for his white supremacist base.
Washington — In an interview with CBS News on Tuesday, President Trump said the killing of George Floyd was "terrible" but appeared to bristle when asked why Black Americans are "still dying at the hands of law enforcement in this country."
"So are White people. So are White people. What a terrible question to ask. So are White people," Mr. Trump told CBS News senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge at the White House. "More White people, by the way. More White people."
Police departments are not required to report comprehensive data on police killings, but researchers have compiled statistics showing Black Americans are more likely to die at the hands of law enforcement than White people. One study published in 2018 found that Black men are roughly 3.5 times more likely to be killed by law enforcement than White men. Another study released in 2019 found that one in 1,000 Black men in the U.S. can expect to die at the hands of police over the course of their lifetimes.
A study by Harvard researchers published in late June found that the number of White people killed by the police between 2013 and 2017 was higher than any other demographic. But White people constitute a larger portion of the population than Black people, and the study also showed that Black people were three times more likely to be killed by law enforcement officers than White Americans.
Mr. Trump's comments come after weeks of nationwide protests against police brutality and racial violence instigated by the death of Floyd, an unarmed Black man who was killed in Minneapolis after a White police officer pressed a knee to his neck for almost nine minutes. Mr. Trump said he believed Floyd's death was "terrible" in the interview with Herridge.
Mr. Trump's critics have accused him of overtly appealing to white supremacists through his continued defense of the Confederate flag and statues of Confederate officials. Mr. Trump said in Tuesday's interview that he believed the debate over the flag is a freedom of speech issue.

interviews conducted by OPB show officers are also detaining people on Portland streets who aren’t near federal property, nor is it clear that all of the people being arrested have engaged in criminal activity. Demonstrators like O’Shea and Pettibone said they think they were targeted by federal officers for simply wearing black clothing in the area of the demonstration.
I am basically tossed into the van,” Pettibone said. “And I had my beanie pulled over my face so I couldn’t see and they held my hands over my head.”
Pettibone and O’Shea both said they couldn’t think of anything they might have done to end up targeted by law enforcement. They attend protests regularly but they said they aren’t “instigators.” They don’t spray paint buildings, shine laser pointers at officers or do anything else other than attend protests, which law enforcement have regularly deemed “unlawful assemblies.”
Blinded by his hat, in an unmarked minivan full of armed people dressed in camouflage and body armor who hadn’t identified themselves, Pettibone said he was driven around downtown before being unloaded inside a building. He wouldn’t learn until after his release that he had been inside the federal courthouse.
“It was basically a process of facing many walls and corners as they patted me down and took my picture and rummaged through my belongings,” Pettibone said. “One of them said, ‘This is a whole lot of nothing.’”
Pettibone said he was put into a cell. Soon after, two officers came in to read him his Miranda rights. They didn’t tell him why he was being arrested. He said they asked him if he wanted to waive his rights and answer some questions, but Pettibone declined and said he wanted a lawyer. The interview was terminated, and about 90 minutes later he was released. He said he did not receive any paperwork, citation or record of his arrest.
“I just happened to be wearing black on a sidewalk in downtown Portland at the time,” Pettibone said. “And that apparently is grounds for detaining me.”
In a statement, the U.S. Marshals Service declined to comment on the practice of using unmarked vehicles, but said their officers had not arrested Pettibone.
