Morons throw abolitionist statue into Wisconsin Lake. Discuss. Your party leader (that you support) says that folks who are trying to remove confederate statues are trying to destroy "our heritage". Discuss.

The tore down "Lady Forward," too. Profoundly dumb and misguided. Almost nobody here disagrees w/that. Doesn't for a minute, however, detract from the fact that Wisconsin has enormous issues to address in terms of race and treatment of minority communities. We are likely the most segregated state in the country, and too many in power here spend all of their time espousing "us versus them" and "real Wisconsinites versus Milwaukee/Madison" narratives.

Discuss. I think everyone here knows where I stand on statues. I think they should all go. All of them.

I think they should all go. All of them. The question is about "our heritage." What does that mean? What does that signify when you're using that to defend against the removal of confederate statues and monuments? Clearly he isn't talking about my heritage.

My father told me growing up that I had to work twice as hard to get as far as the white man I was competing with. He also told me that no matter how much you think you've accomplished. "You'll always have the map of China on your face." Sadly, both have turned out true.

Morons throw abolitionist statue into Wisconsin Lake. Discuss. Have the same feeling about the folks out here tearing down US Grant’s statue. Destruction for destruction’s sake.

I am born in Queens and the furthest south I ever lived was Georgetown. I reiterate my statement on statues. Statues to men and women are bad ideas because men and women have human frailties and failings.

You told us if we vote for Hillary we are responsible for her words and actions. I assume you feel the same about the candidate you chose to lead our nation. So what does that mean? What does that signify when you're using those words to defend against the removal of confederate statues and monuments? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just curious. Do you feel at all offended that he uses words like this because he thinks it will appeal to voters like yourself?

Nothing about statues and monuments appeals to me. If he Thinks it does he is wrong there too.

Reiterating your position on statues, in general, doesn't answer my questions about Trump using heritage as a way to defend them and what that signifies. There's also no reason for an "if" there. Either way, I'll take your non-answer as an acknowledgment that we both know what he's talking about and drop it.

However, the recent criticisms against Christians who affirm the scriptural truth of black dignity using the words “black lives matter” seem odd to me as a black Christian man in America. After all, the Bible affirms black lives are created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26–27), and our country has a history of dehumanizing black people. The words “black lives matter” affirm a scriptural truth about black people www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2020/june-web-only/black-lives-matter-in-bible.html

You're suggesting there is conservative media outrage over this by using the "mainstream" qualifier? No quite the contrary. You have already posited that conservative media doesn’t care. Where are the CNN, MSNBC, Network hacks and why are they not wringing hands over this innocent victim? Does it not fit the “Peaceful Demonstration” narrative?
