I was hoping the Kenner league would get to happen this summer? Has it been canceled or rescheduled? I thought it may be canceled but haven’t heard can anyone confirm anything on it thanks. Go Hoyas.

I would be fine if it never happens again if I never have to read another Kenner scouting report.

I don't know anything, but that won't stop me from commenting: it's not happening. No way, no how. First, you have whatever city requirements/prohibitions are put into place. Second, you have anything the school may want to do to limit spread (and liability). And finally, why would the program want to do this? Risk players or personnel (cough cough, Big Pat, cough cough) for a meaningless summer tourney? Risk the season not happening at all if some players get sick from it and creates a narrative that it's not safe? I could be wrong but...I hope not. Way too much to lose for something that's openly meaningless.

Does the consumption of McDonough gymnasium hot dogs count as a comorbidity?

Not happening with fans 99%
Chances of Kenner with locals players maybe 10%
Individual scrimmages with mixed teams (GW, Hoyas, Mason) possible.

Does the consumption of McDonough gymnasium hot dogs count as a comorbidity? If you can survive a Kenner dog, COVID-19 is a lark.

Keep in mind that while Georgetown hosts Kenner and probably has a lot of influence over it, it’s not run by Georgetown. So there’s a couple things that would need to be determined.
1. Will DC allow sporting events in July? If not, then Kenner can’t happen in DC.
2. Will campus buildings be open in July? If not, then Kenner would need a new venue.
3. Will summer classes be remote? If so, Georgetown players might not have on campus housing and might not be able to be on campus during the summer to participate in Kenner.
4. Will the meat processing plants reopen by July? If not, then what’s the point of Kenner without hot dogs.

Any word on if Kenner will play this summer season?
With DC lifting the Covid-19 restrictions, are there options?
1) limit of 250 in the Gym - limited to players, scouts, officials, coaches? 2) limit of 250 in the Gym - paid admission? 3) move to VA or MD and away from DC jurisdiction?

Option 1 with some fans is most likely the options. Summer League games with D1 players can't charge (if I remember right) for them to play, so 2 is out. Kenner, which is a successor of a couple different DC summer leagues going back to the 70s. That lore would make a shift to Maryland or Virginia tough. Mason and Marymount has tried very short lived leagues over the years.

All DC capacity restrictions will be lifted by June 11, about a month before Kenner League usually starts.

Does the consumption of McDonough gymnasium hot dogs count as a comorbidity? If you can survive a Kenner dog, COVID-19 is a lark. For college-age kids, this is probably statistically provable.
