Has a LeBlanc or Bowen look and feel. Not a bad stroke from deep, granted a highlight reel. 1.3 makes per game on 37%.

Based off what I've read and seen, he reminds me of Galen on the court Granted I just watched the JuCo highlight reel and don't have much more info than that and the stats, I think that is a perfectly reasonable comparison. Something on the jump shot seems a little off, release is slow and well below the peak of his jump but that footage was two years ago at this point so maybe he cleaned it up. That usage pct is unsustainable and hopefully the turnovers are cut down as the usage normalizes to a role player. Certainly looks to play a little bigger than his size due to length. Switchable 3/4 whether he plays w Pickett or Sibley. Maybe guard quicker player when playing w Pickett and stronger player when paired w Sibley etc. Perfectly fine addition and still lets Ewing focus on '21, where we could be looking at another 5 open scholarships (in my calc Mac returns and leaves after jr year). It doesn't feel sustainable looking for core pieces every offseason in grad transfer market but maybe that has become the new norm across college hoops at this point. Either way, welcome aboard. plenty of playing time available on wings there for the taking.

He is a grad transfer according to Rothstein. Just adding to this, Chudier Bile played two years at Otero junior college (16-17, 17-18). He was then enrolled at Bradley but left the school after one workout in July. Nothing sketchy about that whatsoever.

I like his his highlight tape, he seems seems very much like the type of grad transfer forward I hoped we'd get heading into this offseason. Just when I think I'm out they pull me back in.
McClung, Blair, Pickett, Bile, Wahab + J. Harris and Sibley playing heavy minutes off the bench, and the winners of the Beard/D. Harris and Ighoefe/Wilson battles rounding out the 9 man rotation. Let's do it.

Really nice get. Considering how competitive the grad transfer market is, going out and getting Chudier and Harris to plug the gaps is a very good job by the staff. Harris will most likely start at the point and Bile looks like he could be the first or second guy off the bench all year. Fills the hole left by LeBlanc. Active rebounder, impressive athlete. Go guard the physical 4s at Butler, Xavier etc. Really nice fit! Congrats to Chudier!

What? No wait. Let me be more specific: Who? I made a joke on the Walton thread about how we'd soon be signing Some Random Dude, but had no idea it would be this fast.

In the 5 toughest OOC games he played (Texas A&M, Rice, Tulane, SMU, LSU), he averaged 11p, 6.4r in just 21.6mpg. And those all came in his first 8 games of D-I ball.
He looks the physical part and can obviously play a little.
Even if he's not a star, hopefully he can do what we hope J Harris can at the point. Give us solid minutes 'til the kids (Beard, Sibley) get their sea legs.

Nothing sketchy about that whatsoever. There is an article on him leaving. Sounded like he wasnt going to see the amount of minutes he had originally anticipated and chose to move on.

Congrats & Welcome Chudier! (gotta find out his nickname) Just another example of the dearth of information everyone in Hoyaland has on our targets and recruiting in general. PE and staff move in mysterious ways BUT THEY GET THE JOB DONE!!!!!! We're just armchair recruiters and coaches, lol.

In the short term, a decent get. Eligible immediately and provides some additional height/depth/experience at the 3/4, which is by far our biggest hole next year. His presence alone may allow Sibley some time to develop and get physically ready for the college game.
Hoping the rebounding #s/ 3 pt % translate as he take a step up in comp. If they do, he'll have ample opportunity to contribute this coming season.
Another get that I'm not sure moves the needle much, if at all, next year. But I think the staff is out of contingency plans for 2020 at this point in the game.

Welcome to the hilltop Chud! Yes we missed out on maybe 4 years of Kerwin but this is a good grad transfer grad and probably fits next year's needs a bit better. Gives us much more versatility at the F position instead of playing a big or guard out of position.

This seems like the third time PE and staff have done this, not surprised here. Not surprised about Walton either, I stated on the Murray page that if Walton wanted to be a Hoya he had the opportunity long ago to do so but didn't.

Fills a much needed role next to Pickett (unless Sibley is ready day 1). Stats picked up in conference play to 15/8 on 39% from 3 so that is nice to see. If Mac comes back, then I think we've got a really nice starting 5

His turnover numbers last year are alarming. To be a forward and average 4 turnovers a game, I dont think I've ever seen that.

His turnover numbers last year are alarming. To be a forward and average 4 turnovers a game, I dont think I've ever seen that. They are indeed wonky and his overall profile is not something I’ve ever seen. That said, it’s also usually an indication that he was asked to do too much at Northwestern State, and so long as we don’t use him on-ball very often I think it shouldn’t be a huge issue.

Based off what I've read and seen, he reminds me of Galen on the court Funny...I thought the same thing. More polished version of Galen. Seems better off the dribble than Galen. We can use this kid.

A source close to the men’s basketball program said Bile’s decision to leave was based on the demands of the program being beyond his expectations. I can't tell if that was a really weak excuse or that he isn't prepared for a strict head coach. Either way, Georgetown is not Natchitoches, and if he hasn't visited (which he may not have), the demands of the program are considerably more than Northwestern State...or Bradley, for that matter. You're also ignoring the next sentence that says that playing time was a factor. But I agree that first sentence is super odd. But it's also coming from someone close to the Bradley basketball program, so there might have been some bias in the unattributed comment.
