FFS, those are different; I'm embarrassed to be a fellow alum or fan. God bless you. I Hope you find Him. Shouldn’t you be more embarrassed by Trump’s totally inadequate and ridiculously poor handling of this crisis? Maybe this is what it’s like to be in a cult but the trump people I come across on a regular basis are still all in on this guy. It’s amazing and quite disheartening.

For those who support the president's views and actions during this health crisis, I kindly invite you to shake his hand or give him a hug to congratulate him on a job well done.

SMDH. However, there are some pretty stark differences in how Democrats and Republicans view the threat of coronavirus. Some polls, like a recent Quinnipiac University survey, show just one-third of Republicans expressing concern, compared with 68 percent of Democrats. Other pollsters have found a narrower gap — in a recent Public Policy Polling survey, for instance, 44 percent of Republicans said they were concerned versus 67 percent of Democrats. fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-concerned-are-americans-about-coronavirus-so-far/

"Him" here is not G-d. It is "Trump"! Trump cultists receive all their "facts" and beliefs via Fox Propaganda Network. Now, those not born into the Christian faith, and all who are, have heard the frequent “righteous” claim by Trump supporters that they adhere to Christian tenets. Nah-uh. Let’s take a look at why Trump supporters are not only neither Left nor Right politically, but exist in an alternate reality that is immoral and goes against the grain of what is life-giving in Christian scripture, and indeed life-giving in all faiths. medium.com/@regina.clarke7/the-immorality-of-trumps-followers-ba4097c03f1d

BTW, I hope you sense the sarcasm in my statement.
His decision not to get tested despite recently being in close contact with an infected person is very curious. It seems that decisions by the White House medical staff is being more strongly influenced by politicians and not health care professionals.

What exactly would a real Christian find appealing about Trump? Is it his model marriage and family life? Is it his unassailable integrity? Is it his willingness to be held accountable? Is it his charity? Maybe the love of his neighbor? Hmm... Trump is literally the antithesis of Christian values. I guess he pretends to care about the unborn, and that’s enough for some people. If it inured to his benefit, Trump would sell out Jesus quicker than Judas, and for half the price.

You are aware that none of this matters to Trump supporters? They look for any reason to blame Obama even if it is demonstrably untrue. It would be really incredible if facts still mattered.

"Jared Kushner has the entire federal gov't at his disposal, every health crisis org on the planet at his beck and call, and his brother's father-in-law is doing pandemic response research for him on Facebook."
Hard to be this awful at this.

www.nytimes.com/2020/03/13/us/coronavirus-deaths-estimate.htmlI applaud all those sports bodies, state and local governments, and school systems at every level that have stepped up to intervene where the leadership of our federal government has been unable or unwilling to do so. They have started the process that could save countless lives. Say what you will about Rudy Gobert, but he lit the fuse.

All appropriations originate in the House of Representatives, not with the President. If the CDC budget was cut, it is because the Congress passed appropriations bill's and they were signed by the President. I am appalled that so many are hell bent on using the coronavirus as a political tool rather than joining hands to combat it. Republicans and Democrats should shut the hell up.

Do you not recall the president refusing to sign any bill until his wall was funded? And his staff being heavily involved in finding a "compromise" to get the government running again? I do agree with your last sentiment though. All citizens of the US should dismayed at the response by our federal government and some state governments.

It’s not really political to say the administration did an absolutely horrible job getting ahead of this situation, that there aren’t enough tests available for those that need them, and the president is continuing to lie about both issues. Facts are not political, they are facts. You should be appalled by this. If the administration was honest from the outset and procured enough tests, maybe people wouldn’t be so blasé about it. Many of his followers are still calling it a “hoax” and “just the flu”. People should be angry about that. I’m not sure how you aren’t.

Can we blame Obama and Congress for the current vacancy at the National Security Council?? globalbiodefense.com/2020/02/19/senators-call-on-trump-administration-to-immediately-fill-global-health-security-position/www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/nsc-pandemic-office-trump-closed/2020/03/13/a70de09c-6491-11ea-acca-80c22bbee96f_story.htmlDr. Fauci on Trump's NSC Global Health Unit: "We worked very well with that office. It would be nice if the office was still there," Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said during a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing on Wednesday. www.businessinsider.com/fauci-would-be-nice-trump-hadnt-scrapped-nsc-global-health-2020-3Congressional action on CDC budget cuts. Seems to me that the Congress countered Trump's attempts to cut the CDC budget: For instance, Trump’s fiscal 2020 budget proposal would have reduced CDC funding by $750.6 million, compared with what was enacted for fiscal 2019 (see the “program level” line in the linked document). But Congress passed, and Trump signed, a budget that increased CDC funding by $420 million.
For fiscal 2019, Trump put forth a $1.36 billion cut to CDC’s funding in his budget proposal, but what ended up being enacted was a $261.6 million increase over what was passed the year before. T he president proposed a 19.4% reduction, but Congress enacted a 3.7% increase. For fiscal 2018, Trump’s first full budget proposal as president, he proposed a 17% reduction in funding for the CDC, but what Congress enacted amounted to a 2.3% drop in funding for the annualized 2018 continuing resolution. www.factcheck.org/2020/03/democrats-misleading-coronavirus-claims/

"I don't take responsibility at all" Perhaps the most honest thing Trump has ever said in his life.
