In the 3000m race I believe Parker was 3rd in heat 2, and overall 2nd freshman.

It looks as if Jantz was up with the leaders at 2000m, but had a tough last 1000m.

COACH BONSEY ON THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE "I saw some really good things, especially since we were coming off of long travel after BIG EAST on Monday. Matthew Payamps looked excellent qualifying for the 800-meter run and then finished in seventh place in the final. Matthew and I both were looking for a little more in the final, but for a true freshman who won the conference meet less than a week ago to run 1:50 on back-to-back days is big-time stuff. The DMR looked excellent qualifying on Saturday and unfortunately Ethan Delgado was tripped and fell in the final on Sunday. That fall put us out of contention to win. We now have a few weeks to train hard and get ready for what should be a very successful outdoor season."

I thought something happened to Ethan, but still to run 53 after being tripped and fallen showed how resilient he is. If he had run 49, we would have been right there.

I know we have no entrees in the NCAA this year; the closest being the DMR, as we were ranked 13th in the country and only 12 teams can run. That being said, the Big Ten has banned their teams from running in NCAA Indoor champs. Three of the teams ranked ahead of us are Big Ten teams - Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Indiana. I wonder if it is too late for us to enter.
