That's like $1000 of mini-fridge snacks and drinks!

That's like $1000 of mini-fridge snacks and drinks! You buy the snacks at CVS, not at the Ritz-Carlton gift shop! 😋

I shall reiterate my belief that Ryan will want to bring the program back from the bottom of conference and other good prospects will join him to help. Hoya Saxa.

I like our ‘20 class. If we bring in a solid ‘21 class, we are back in business. Would still need patience as the newbies mature.

I view it as a good sign that Ryan is willing to spend time with another big time recruit visiting Georgetown and also that the program feels comfortable with him spending the day talking to Collins. If the staff wasn't confident Ryan was going to speak positively about Georgetown and the program, you would think they would not want to risk him being around Collins. I have no idea if this will help in their pursuit of Collins, but I think it is a positive about where Ryan stands as a recruit. This is really shaping up as a big weekend for the program. I hope they put on a really impressive senior day ceremony, find a way to upset Nova and that these recruits get a chance to talk to Jagan and see what kind of man he has grown into while at Georgetown.

That's gotta be a cool perk of choosing this weekend to visit. Getting to tour campus with Dikembe sounds like a lot of fun

I totally understand this is how recruiting works but if Frankie reclassified to 2020 and comes to Gtown that has to be tough to watch for Dante Harris..
Both are strictly point guards and maybe Beard can play some 2 guard with his build but they are basically recruiting over Harris not once but twice in the same class before he has even stepped on the court...

You have to. It’s a top 50 PG. If he wants to come, doesn’t matter who your commits are.

I would think/hope the staff stays in contact with the recruits that have committed and lets them know what is going on with possible new additions and how it will impact everyone. I would not be surprised if they had a conversation with Harris before he committed about the possibility of him redshirting for a year if they brought in other guards. if so, this might not be a surprise to Harris and might have been part of the plan all along. Even if they don't get Collins, I think there is a pretty good chance they would bring in a grad transfer.

Ryan is a big kid. From that picture he looks to be close to 7'. He certainly looks to be almost as tall as his Dad. It must be a cool thing for Collins to be able to spend some time with (2)NBA Hall of Famers on his visit to Georgetown!!!! Too bad AI couldn't be walking through the gym sometime this weekend too!!!!

Obviously, it depends on what the staff tells Harris, but I don't see how an unranked point guard recruit could possibly think that he'd be the primary option, with the staff recruiting nobody else. Unless he was told otherwise, which seems unlikely. Things like this happen all over. People are up for a long-deserved promotion only to have someone come in laterally from another company and take it, etc. It stinks, but life is unfair.

That’s basically what happened with the center position last year. We kept recruiting over.

The fact Collins is slated to play for the Oakland soldiers (same as Akinjo)in the travel circuit...and still get him in on an official and possibly land him...speaks to the respect and clout that Coach PE has nationwide.
