He really thinks Bey could come back? Robinson Earl I get but Bey? Really would be cruel if they get Bey to return but we lose Mac. I would be shocked if Bey came back. I see him listed as a top 15 pick in some mock drafts. He is almost a lock at this point to go in the first round. I am not surprised Robinson Earl is coming back. He is not big enough to play center (or even power forward) in the NBA, so he needs to expand his game and show he is a better perimeter player. I think he has a real chance to do that, but he was a 2nd round pick, at best, if he came out this year. Nova will be really good next year, even without Bey, but he was their most consistent offensive threat and he will be missed.

I just would have thought it’s a forgone conclusion he’s gone but who knows the way this draft season is playing out. Makes losing our final game to them that much more painful knowing that with or without Bey they’ll be awfully tough next year.

Who is Caleb Daniels?...Never heard of him...I would think that the 5 star kid who sat out this year (name escapes me) would be the next likely starter...

Maybe you're thinking of 4 star freshman Eric Dixon who sat out all of this season. Maybe you're thinking of 5 star freshman Bryan Antoine who played sparingly this season after an injury. Maybe you're thinking of 4 star sophomore Brandon Slater who came off the bench this season. Maybe you're thinking of 4 star junior Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree who came off the bench this season. Maybe you're thinking of 4 star sophomore Cole Swider who came off the bench at the end of this season. Sorry, just depressing how deep Villanova is, and they don't even have any commits for the 2020 class.

With the NBA draft being held on June 25 (unless it is postponed), and the withdrawal deadline 10 days before that, I am not even sure what "testing the waters" is going to look like for these guys. I mean, I suppose you can always FaceTime with NBA scouts/staffs, etc. but the normal workouts/evaluations are highly unlikely to happen unless the draft is pushed up.

That is a big get for Marquette. He is a really good player and if he can stay on the floor he is going to add a lot to that program. Not sure if he will be eligible for this upcoming season or has to sit a year. He left Ohio State for personal reason part of the way through the season but I am not sure how many games he actually played for them last year and if he might get a waiver to play right away or not.

Xavier University men's basketball coach Travis Steele announced on Wednesday that he has received the signed scholarship agreement from two graduate transfers: guard Nate Johnson and forward Bryan Griffin. The 6-3, 180-pound Johnson is graduate transfer from Gardner-Webb University. The 6-6, 230-pound Griffin is a graduate transfer from NCAA Division II Mercy College. Both will be immediately eligible for the 2020-21 season. Johnson, a 2019-20 Second Team All-Big South Conference selection, finished second on his team in scoring at 13.5 ppg., ranking 13th in the league. Johnson earned a reputation as an excellent shooter, hitting 84.5 percent (71-84) from the free-throw line and 41.1 percent (74-180) from 3-point range this past season. Johnson finished third in the Big South in 3-point field goals at 2.5 made per game and his free-throw percentage would have led the Big South but he fell just short of the 2.5 free throws made per game minimum. He scored a career-high 29 points on the strength of a career-high eight 3-pointers in an overtime win at High Point. He also excelled on the defensive end, ranking second in the league in steals at 1.7 per game while also contributing 4.7 rebounds per game. “Bryan brings that physicality you need in the BIG EAST,” said Steele. “Bryan is mobile for a big guy and he really attacks the glass. With what we lost off of this year’s team, we really needed to add some rebounding and that is what he does best. Rebounding translates no matter what level you play on. “Bryan did not have a lot of offers coming out of high school but he grew in height and he lost about 60 pounds in his first couple years of college. That helped him in his journey to becoming a totally different player. I really love the fact that he is a highly self-motivated, self-made young man.” Griffin, who earned First Team All-East Coast Conference for a second straight year and Second Team All-Region honors this past season for Mercy College, led his team in scoring (third in the ECC at 19.6 ppg.), rebounding (first in the ECC at 14.5 rpg.) and blocks (first in the ECC at 2.0 bpg.). Griffin, who led all of NCAA Division II in overall rebounding (14.5 rpg.) as well as defensive rebounding (10.6 rpg.), ranked third in the nation in double-doubles (17) and seventh in offensive rebounding (3.8 rpg.). Griffin earned ECC weekly honors 10 times this past season, including a four-time selection as ECC Defensive Player of the Week. He scored a career-high 34 points at nationally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas and grabbed a career-high 26 rebounds twice in the 2019-20 season. local12.com/sports/xu-musketeers/xavier-basketball-announces-addition-of-two-graduate-transfers-cincinnati-college-musketeers-nate-johnson-gardner-webb-bryan-griffin-mercy

That is a little surprising. I think the Hall was expecting him to play a lot this upcoming year. Although I think I had heard he was one of the guys who was unhappy about his inconsistent playing time last year.
