Does this mean he can't go to Indy for March Madness? Why not wait till after the tournament? This was last year. Gilbert will be playing in Indy for his current team, Wichita.

The Big East would be solid with Nova, UConn and Gtown perennially in the top-25, plus others cracking on occasion.

Making assumptions of undercalssmen leaving= * (t) = transfer Nova- losing JRE*, Samuels, Gillespie Uconn- losing Bouknight*, Carlton, Whaley, Polley, Creighton- losing Zegarowski*, Jefferson, Mahoney, Ballock, O'Connell (wow if Z does leave they're completely depleted and already lost best player from their recruiting class) Seton Hall- losing Sandro*, Aiken, Cale, Reynolds St. John's- losing Champgenie*, Dunn, Moore(t), Cole(t), Toro Providence - losing Duke*, Watson, Gannt(t), Monroe(t) Xavier- Scruggs, kyky(t), Johnson, Carter, Griffin Marquette- Garcia*, McEwen, Cain, John Butler- Nze, Thompson, David, Hodges DePaul- Moore, Salnave, Paulicap
Georgetown- Pickett, Blair, Bile, Carey*
Now technically any of these players besides could come back given the exemption this year, so this is super premature. But there's a lot of talent leaving the conference.

There’s not a doubt in my mind that this is the window to get back into the top 4 or 5 of the BE consistently and staying there to get tournament bids so it’s really key to see what happens with transfers this year and recruits in '22. Also they should definitely go all in with tough OOC games next season and make some noise like the big 10 challenge being against Maryland to make it a regular grudge match and to assert dominance of the DMV if we win and when played at cap one (since it's in the middle of the city) against Maryland then the crowd could potentially be huge

They are likely losing 4 of their top 6 players (if Carey also leaves) and while the recruiting class is impressive, they were going to be a very inexperienced team next year. Perspectives change quickly after a great run like the team just had in the BET, and I am also very optimistic, but I think it would be prudent to see what the final roster looks like for next year before making too many predictions.

Johnson is the first guy of note I've seen that has said he's coming back for the extra year

Johnson is the first guy of note I've seen that has said he's coming back for the extra year Butler Fans are saying Bo Hodges is coming back and possibly Aaron Thompson. I would still wait till a month or two before being 100% sold on players saying they're coming back though. I think lots of kids say it right after their season ends but rethink it later. Remember when Greg Monroe said he was coming back after Ohio?

I'm not sure him and Carton alone are enough to move the needle

Looks like that young man was a 4 star recruit from Washington DC. Were the Hoyas involved with him at all? Don't think it matters because he can't transfer inside the Big East anyways. Just had not heard of this young man

That is surprising. I never thought he had much of a chance of playing in the NBA next year, but he could make some money in Europe or the G league. Not sure how staying an extra years makes him more attractive for playing professionally. Maybe he just really loves playing at Providence and figures he will enjoy that more than anything else. If Duke leaves for the NBA then Providence is going to need more than just Watson, but he is a good college player and will help them.

Coach if you have to get someone from the transfer portal, please seek out another versatile player or multiskilled player like Bile or LeBlanc. We need a do it all guy like my man Bile not just guys that can only shoot threes and that's all that they can do.

My guess: Pickett and Blair played four years, Bile came aboard for his final year (then), Carey came with two years of eligibility and has used one of them. Believe Carey is the only one to be invited back. That shows no picking and choosing, while uniformly treating all. This allows this and next years' freshmen to compete for minutes.

I feel you but I am trying to win the whole thing not be back at the bottom again. If those guys want to come back because they feel it might help their professional career. I hope coach allows it. It certainly is going to help Georgetown contend for the National title and that is what we are here for.I don't want to go back down to the bottom.

You do realize that with everyone but Carey leaving we are still 1 scholly short for Aminu who is the crown jewel of our '21 recruiting class? So you must want Coach to tell his entire '20 recruiting class except Dante to kick rocks.
