Early Bracketology on ESPN: 1 Seed - Villanova 1 Seed - Creighton 9 Seed - UConn 9 Seed - Xavier First 8 Out - Marquette & Butler 4 bids only would not be great for the conference. So if UConn makes the Tournament next year and GU doesn’t, then UConn would have the same number of Tournament appearances as GU since the start of the new BE.

He has Providence as an 11. Probably the count of Big East teams of 4 is wrong because hasnt moved UConn yet. So really 5 teams + Marquette and Butler so below top 7 of Big East.

Good catch. Yes 5 would be more palatable.

With this news, I'll go ahead and predict Xavier will be better than a 9-seed. Scruggs is a stud and their recruiting class might be the best in the Big East.

Scruggs is such an average player. X was supposed to be a top 25 team last year and the season showed how flawed their roster is. They lose their best 2 players on top of that. X will be middle of the pack and I'd take our roster with McClung over theirs.

Just like Mac, I bet there was some dissension on that team. Either Tyrique or Naji. Maybe I have PTSD and I see drama everywhere. If so Scruggs will get back to soph form....

From ESPN: ”O'Connell ranked in the top 20 of ESPN's transfer rankings, slotting in at No. 20 among sit-out transfers. There is a chance O'Connell could graduate early and be eligible next season, sources told ESPN, but his preference is to sit out the 2020-21 season and play his final year in 2021-22.“

What position does this kid play? Does that max out of the scholarships for Creighton?

It's shocking to me at this point that neither Alexander or Zegarowski have decided to test the NBA waters. Despite Alexander being a Jr and Zegarowski a Soph, they are only a month apart in age. (did MZ do a grad year?)
Time to get out of the conference and start making some money :-)
