I wanna see this kid smile just once! When he has a hand on a trophy. Then he will smile. Like a true Kobe

So impressed with his play today! Quick hands on defense and hustle on the offensive glass.

His hustle, toughness, and read of the game was very good, especially for a freshman. He has a bit of an awkward shot and a bit of an awkward run (it's what I call a "try hard" run where the whole body moves and nothing is smooth), but hopefully he can iron out the shot and maybe develop a bit more athletically. He certainly seems bigger than 6'4" out there, but if he plays that way consistently, I really don't care what his actual size is. Definitely plays like a forward. Good first game! He'll have a fanbase that loves him if he puts that sort of hustle in consistently.

This guys is truly an army swiss knife. He does it all! He's not as athletic or as powerful as Myron Gardner but he definitely more skilled. I see him affecting a little of each aspect of the game: Rebounding, scoring, steals, getting to the line, man on man d, playing passing lanes etc etc. I think if Patrick continues to ask Kobe to do everything, he will have a great career at Georgetown.
I can see after four years on the hilltop, he's in the top 20 to top 10 in a lot of statistical categories.
Oh and one more thing, I said he isn't as powerful as Myron Gardiner. I was making references to how Myron would fly through the air and power slam the ball through the hoop.
Kobe may not be as powerful as Myron but he is certainly strong as hell on the boards. I noticed his arms are long and very big and that is why he is able to wrestle the ball away so easily from his opponents when he's battling on the boards.

He most reminds me of a fellow Missourian, Otto. Innate spatial awareness, not flustered by pace/tempo of others, exquisite positional rebounding (this facet is the most direct parallel w/ Porter)... He may actually be better @ distributing - the drop ahead pass to Wahab (in transition) which ended up being an 'And 1' speaks to his quality.

I’m not going to compare him to Otto, but Otto may the last player who showed up to me as ready to compete at this level from so early in his freshman year. Watching Kobe reminded me of the 1st time I saw Otto.

At his high school, from his videos, I perceived him as a point forward.

Played 12min, 10 rebounds and zero turnovers, statistically speaking Clark out rebound Qudus. What a great start for a freshman we need more of this from the rest of the guys.

Best part is only a couple of those were gimme rebounds. Most of them were snagged out of the air between two or three UMBC players. Kid has an absolute motor.

Its official, he's a 6'4 SF not the 6'6 that myself and others had hoped for but he plays like he's 6'6-6'8!

I choose to blindly believe he’s 6’6 and will not hear any arguments to the contrary!

Separately, in addition to out-rebounding UMBC, he out-leaped Tim for a rebound and Holloway for another.

I think he's 6'7...he handles the ball well enough to bring it up court and run the offense some, and he's an outstanding passer...I'd love to see him on a wing in a zone D with his long arms and good instincts...add those qualities to his D and rebounding and he needs to be on the court for significant time...I think on O he can attack from the wing and score or distribute, and he's at least a decent threat from three...
