Well, the 3 pt defense WAS good most of this half... It was good when playing man, but the zone has them shifting too much to help the middle.

I would say Romeo Weems is going to be a thorn in our sides for years to come but I thought that about Reed and they for Depaul so it doesnt matter.

Why is Mac in boot now, but wasn’t for the prior 3 weeks?
Not the best look for the medical staff

Down 5 and just under 2 minutes. Need to not foul (so still in zone, perhaps) and get stops, and make own baskets.
Foul trouble on top of everything else is a bit nuts.

Why is Mac in boot now, but wasn’t for the prior 3 weeks? Not the best look for the medical staff That is one of the issues with plantar fatsciitis is when it is strained or torn people over compensate to avoid the pain and oven strain tendons and ligaments. Plantar fatsciitis can be insanely painful and sometimes feels like your foot got stabbed with a hot sharp knife, which is often what triggers movement that injures other parts. Not on the medical staff, just the nature of the injury.

Oh, yes! Tied at half. Now to stay out of foul trouble in the 2nd half. Since Patrick drew the tech the chippy foul calls have gone away.

Depaul has stuck Romeo Weems on Blair and completely shut him down. It will be interesting to see if they switch him to Pickett. I give credit to Blair. He force a couple early but has not tried to do too much after that to compound it.

Explain to me how there was no foul called on DePaul when they hit Yurtseven about 30 times after that last defensive rebound?
Of course, Pickett would never have had a chance to hit the shot in the lane if they called one, so never mind.

Yeah, I think he had PF, but last game it looked like he stepped on somebody's foot, and may have rolled the ankle IN ADDITION to earlier injury, thus requiring the boot when it wasn't needed earlier. Don't see this reflecting badly on anybody but Lady Luck.

Why is Ewing bringing in Yurtz7 to play defense with 30 seconds left?

Only two fouls since Patrick's tech. That is really good.
Hoyas need to do a much better job boxing out to not let DePaul get offensive boards. The Yurtseven rebound and power rip away from DePaul toward the end of the half was great to see.
Georgetown is on the bad side of nearly every stat category in the box score, but are tied. That bodes well if they start getting things together.

Did I say Thank God we're playing DePaul?
