Fossil fuel companies are trading at low levels, not that they can’t continue lower. We wouldn’t exactly be divesting at the highs.

Well, they could have taken this move in 2015 (link: hoyatalk2.proboards.com/thread/28831/georgetown-divestment-companies-energy-production ) rather than a half measure, but they didn't. It'd have been the right move morally and the right move fiscally. This is a great move, but it should have been done earlier. Is this that big of a step? This takes us out of what - oil and gas? Supposedly we've already been out of coal for 4 years, and that was a great fiscal move given the wide decline in coal.
