Also, while I agree not all Q1 wins are equal, Dayton's Q1 wins are over a 33, 58, 70 teams, none of whom I think will make tournament. Ours are 21, 68, 72 and I think Creighton makes it.
Their Q2 wins: 36, 71, 76, 90, (36 is VCU) Our Q2 wins: 62, 64, 72, 78
Their SOS is 41 ours is 8.
And Dayton is projected as #2 seed.

We also have a top 30 SOS left (and top 15 are pretty much big 10 teams, which helps BE out a bit, since we beat up on a few of those teams). The current state isnt bad, its more that we have such a tough road left its easy to accept even a few big wins will be hard to come by and margin of error vs DePaul and Providence etc gets small.

But Dayton’s TWO losses: #3 Kansas and #24 Colorado Our TEN losses: #22 PSU, #7 Duke, UNCG, Providence, #13 Seton Hall, #12 Nova, Marquette, Xavier, #19 Butler, and # 13 Seton Hall. So while I think there’s a pathway for us, bagging on Dayton’s resume isn’t the strongest argument, IMO.

Right, its not that we haven't beaten enough teams, its that we have had to face way more tournament level teams. A team of Dayton's talent could have lost all those games too with our schedule. On paper, they have similar amount of good wins with less losses due to their schedule. Which is to say, a few wins we could have pulled out or upcoming would put us in a much different boat.

There aren't too many nights we can openly root for Davidson, but tonight is one of those nights.

I guess we root for PC over Xavier? PC is inching closer to bubble status with each win though.

Oklahoma beating WVU. Not great. Florida lost and Indiana losing at least. Purdue winning hurts though and they were closer to the cut line. Oklahoma getting a huge signature win also tough. Need a Butler like win just to stay at par.

Need a Butler like win just to stay at par. Yea in my mind at least one win at Butler, Marquette, or Creighton is a must to be part of any 4 win combo the rest of the way. I’m not sure wins against PC, DePaul, Xavier do much to move the needle. The blown lead against Butler looms large. If we had that win, sitting at 5-6 and 15-9, we’d be definitely in most brackets as of now.

Was watching Lillard go off on the refs for essentially the same missed goaltend that cost us the Butler game. Really hoping that's not the call that keeps us out in the end.

They are listed with the 5th or 6th best % to win the national championship this year. Not sure they are the team to be comparing resumes to.

Oklahoma State misses a golden opportunity to boost our numbers with a win at Baylor.
In another OOC game, Duke came back from 15 down with 3 min to go and Carey fouled out to force OT at UNC, but UNC leads in OT.
