Says you. Projections were lame and our team was set to outperform expectations. Most who played did so. Had the flakes stuck around and the injuries not derailed our top two scorers, exceeding expectations continues. We were 4-3 if memory serves correct with a full team and that required a sizable comeback in the opener. Couple that second half with isolated halves against Texas and Duke at MSG, and those were the only really good stretches of basketball we played. Might the team have gotten better after a few more games? Definitely plausible but I also think it’s unfair to say we looked poised to beat expectations either. Based on what? It’s obvious we had talent. We lost literally 4 of our best 7 players (2 of top 3) and three plus defenders (Galen was still adjusting but he was getting there). Our record through 7 games reflected an extremely large leash by coach while tinkering with lineups and figuring out who, of all the talented players, deserved to be on the floor. The OOC is for experimenting. All that matters is a win. Two of those losses were to top 15-18 teams. The last loss was on our point guard’s shoulders and that’s why Ewing likely decided to start Terrell the next have and we all know what happened. Even that team might’ve been a tournament team. So we lost three games extremely early to three tournament teams while integrating 7 new players. Do you think sports just require a flip of the switch? You must’ve written off LeBron during all his slow team starts too. It’s been discussed ad nauseam. No body wins championships in November. Serious question, did you watch the rest of the season? We were in way more games than we should’ve been in. With 4 more solid players we would’ve been that much better and wouldn’t have faded at the end of the season. Just my opinion, but all four have the talent to at least be on G league rosters at some point. That’s nothing to scoff at.

Actually they don't, both Mannion & Green will go pro after this season, that leaves B. Williams who's hurt right now & RS Soph Jermal Baker who's not a ball handler on the roster. Arizona is a good spot for Akinjo roster wise... www.verbalcommits.com/schools/arizonaSeattle graduate transfer Terrell Brown verbally committed to Arizona on Monday, he tells 247Sports. “I picked Arizona because I feel that it was a great fit for me,” Brown said. “The coaches were straight up with me from the beginning and we built a relationship that will continue to get stronger and stronger.” “Arizona is a great school and the coaching staff wants what’s best for me,” he added. Brown, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound guard, committed to Arizona over Washington, Arkansas and DePaul. When did he know Arizona was the right spot for him? “Yesterday afternoon I had a great PowerPoint presentation, and that’s kind of when I knew,” Brown said. “I had my family there with me to go over it with coach [Jack] Murphy.” During the 2019-2020 season, Brown averaged 20.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists a game, while shooting 41.4-percent from the field. The year prior Brown averaged 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists a game. “I can be a leader on and off the floor,” Brown explained. “A vocal leader, lead by example but whatever coach [Sean] Miller, coach Murphy and coach [Danny] Peters needs from me.” Brown is eligible to play at Arizona next season. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Terrell-Brown-Arizona-Seattle-transfer-145766907/

This will not end well.

It’d be nice if Gtown had some international connections to tap into recruiting wise...

The uncle will explode on Twitter at some point. I wonder if he’ll back out of his commitment.

Has any player ever transferred out of a program, then before his sit-out year was over, transferred again??!! Hey, he only has 3 semesters left to play right now. Transferring now would give him 2 more full seasons!

Both LSU and Arizona next on the NCAA violations list?! The only surprise here is that both schools have not already been notified by the NCAA. Both are right in the middle of this scandal. Soon after Akinjo and LeBlanc are eligible to play, both programs could be on probation!!! Not beyond the realm that both of these kids end up transferring again at some point in the next two years.

Both LSU and Arizona next on the NCAA violations list?! It's unjust that Kevin Ollie was given the death penalty while Will Wade and Sean Miller are walking out scott free.

Even looks like a Estonian Mac MacLung. Hmm, Akinjo was double recruited over? Brown seems solid (other than the PowerPoint comment) and the other guy quite good. Add to this a program likely ending up in probation. I feel for a guy cursed like that.

Add to this a program likely ending up in probation. I feel for a guy cursed like that. Akinjo bailed on his team mid-season because he is selfish and immature. He deserves whatever he gets at Arizona. If he ends up doing well, that's ok too, but I will never feel bad for him. You can make a case for me about feeling sorta bad for LeBlanc. He was involved in a tough situation at Georgetown, probably due in a large part to his actions, yes. Having it get to the point where he felt he had to transfer was probably more due to the resulting circumstances, but I don't really know. Choosing LSU made some sense at least since it is local for him. A wiser choice would have been to avoid the cesspool at LSU but being local probably was a huge inducement for him. So yeah, if they go on probation, have a coaching change and he loses out, I'll have some sympathy.
