Both announced last night via Instagram. Mod, I won't be offended if you move this sooner or later to someplace else, just figured it would be of general interest...

So I guess the narrative that “they’re cancers whom nobody credible will want” doesn’t really work anymore....

Bottom line: These two guys leaving when they did hurt our program tremendously...had they announced an intent to transfer in the summer or at the end of the year, it would have been totally different...they flat out disrespected Coach Patrick Ewing and Georgetown, and as a result I lost all respect for them...there will always be the Arizonas and LSUs to swoop in like vultures over road kill, but they will still have to carry the baggage of the highly unprofessional circumstances of their departures and the bind it put Coach Ewing in...not to mention that Alexander and Gardner (perhaps innocently) got swept into the mess as well...just the way I see it...move on, get better...

I think you will see all 4 of these guys in trouble again we are better off without them just watch and see Akinjo may not get in trouble but he is selfish player.leblanc,Gardner, and Alexander will be in trouble again.that is who they are. Better off without them. Ewing has to take blame for some of this to he recruited them and brought them to Georgetown.has to do better job getting better people not just talent but people. Go Hoyas I think this team will fight but the departures will hurt as season goes on the lack of any depth injuries and foul trouble, probably should not expect a ncaa tournament team now,it’s to much to overcome,I hope they can but 1 or 2 starters play bad a loss.pickett needs to be scoring 15- 17 points a game he needs to get more aggressive offensive need him bad.if not then Mac will have to score 25 -30 a game for Hoyas to win consistently hard to do every game. But keep fighting. Go Hoyas.

Good luck to both of them. But, I feel Akinjo may get stuck on the bench in Arizona. I'm rooting for him, but with Brandon Williams missing this season and the PG for next year, I don't see either playing well off of the ball. Plus, Miller has shown he has no fear of recruiting over players. I'm worried about that, but rooting for them. Best of luck to both of them.

Excellent athlete, very good playmaker and he's fearless. But, he's most likely a one and done guy. Nico is a star, but he's gone after this season.

Arizona has a lot of younger guards who were highly rated in high school. Pretty sure I won't bother to watch any Pac games next year but will be curious to see if Akinjo ever gets to start another game.

Actually they don't, both Mannion & Green will go pro after this season, that leaves B. Williams who's hurt right now & RS Soph Jermal Baker who's not a ball handler on the roster. Arizona is a good spot for Akinjo roster wise... www.verbalcommits.com/schools/arizona

I hope they both find the maturity and strength to eventually take ownership of the huge mistakes they made this year and the tremendous disservice they did to their Georgetown teammates and coaches.
I won't be rooting for them but I wish them no ill and I do hope they both learn from their mistakes, becoming better men as a result.
