100% guaranteed they have not “improved,” and, like a few other Base states, i’d imagine they’ve deteriorated in manners, alcoholism and dental hygiene. So be it - a victory will feel better in front of their rabid fans. Typical snob post. Yup. Having dated WVU girls and having family in the state, I will proudly and unequivocally state, over and over again in the most florid and profane language if necessary, that WVU’s fan base are knuckle-dragging morons. Except the few who aren’t. Our fans are elitist snobs, always have been, always will be. We hold these truths to be self evident

Are you the "snob"/"elitist" police? Give it a rest. Yes, I am the self-appointed snob/elitist policeman. There are far too many Georgetown products that look down their noses at other people and their customs. Taking it farther, so-called progressives are far too quick to criticize any inference that someone is racist, homophobic, xenophobic or any other phobic but refuse to recognize they are just as bigoted. Often they sneer at anyone who lives in areas that are not the superior East or West Coasts, go to colleges that are not "elitist", speak with accents that are not "classy", or have customs unlike their own. The "deplorables". Hypocrisy? Sorry I am posting this on the basketball forum but I didn't do the first post on this forum.

The "deplorables". Hypocrisy? Sorry I am posting this on the basketball forum but I didn't do the first post on this forum. I made the first post on the subject of West Virginia fans. Over the last 20 years I've attended probably 95% of the Hoyas home games. During that time there have been many opponent fan bases that turned out well in our arena. Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Louisville, UConn and Maryland all come to mind. But none have even approached the drunken, obnoxious behavior of the West Virginia fans. Its a simple fact, one that I've been intimately exposed to while sitting in the 400 section with all of those fan bases. Something about that school brings out the worst in fans. The thing those people have had in common in the past is that they root for West Virginia basketball and they seem to like to be obnoxious in their opponent's arena. That's it. No reason to try to make this about more than it is.

Looks like the first round matchups for the Wooden Legacy tournament will be Georgetown-Kansas and UVA-UCLA.

DFW is reporting we backed out of the ND home and home series. Disappointing as they are the perfect type of winnable but strong NET OOC opponent.
Our schedule will be fine next year with the Wooden tournament, WVU, Cuse, and a B10 team, but still don’t like the optics here. Hope we aren’t backing off playing a strong OOC slate. Last year’s schedule was perfect and had us well positioned for a bid even while we were hovering around / under .500 in the league.

Damn I wanted UVA. Kansas is long and a great defensive team. Only plus for us, like WVU, is that they aren't great shooters. If we could ever learn to defend next year, then we'd have a shot against some of these teams because we'll be able to put up points.

And UCLA is a top 25 team, too. This tourney should make the guys better, as that's what playing good teams do. The tournament is going to be tough, but it should improve the team.

We are losing 6 of our top 9 scorers and all of our top 3. Unless Bile or Harris are go to scorers or someone in this freshman crew breaks out, we are likely looking at a whole roster of guys putting up 6 to 8 points a game. It could work since you won't really be able to key in on anyone and we can rotate in & out like JT Jr. but I don't know man.

Well Kansas is going to have a hell of a time getting a scouting report on this Hoya team.
