St. John's is up 7 with 7:22 to go against Xavier... Big game for the Hoyas if X loses... Jinxed it. Ugh. St Johns collapsed (again). Damn!! My bad... A terrible loss for St. John's...

Hard to play a worse final 7 minutes than Rasheem Dunn did there.
Golden opportunity wasted by SJU.

SJU played to their level - Figueroa with the off balance hero ball shot with 2 teammates wide open in the wings... SMH This^^ I don't understand why Anderson took the ball out of Dunn's hands, he's their best penetrator by far...

St Js had at least 7 ways to win that game late and whiffed on them all. No help there for Hoyas.

Big reason why they coughed up the 7 point lead to begin with. But yes, Figueroa made a terrible play there.

Based on games with DePaul, PC, Butler and Us, I think Xavier does no worse than 8-10 now.

Dunn was bad coming down the stretch, Anderson actually sat him for a good chunk of it but with 10 seconds left, I'd go with my best penetrator... Or at the very least give the ball to the guy I want right away, getting the ball to Figueroa going away from the basket is a bad possession...

Surprised they didn't go Rutherford there. He had been great all game. Didn't catch who was open in the corners but good chance it could have been him.
In addition to all the missed FGs, you can also blame Dunn for bricking the front end the possession prior to Freemantle's bucket.

As frustrating as this year, and the past 5 years, have been for us I'm so happy not to be a St. John's fan. Boy do they suck.

Last year 9-9 got us a tie for 3rd and not close to a bid. This year 8-10 could have us 8th and possibly IN. Crazy how it works sometimes.

I take the positive away from the result tonight, which is that Xavier is very beatable if we play with intensity from the jump and smart ball down the stretch.

Xavier has some real flaws as a team and I think the Hoyas can beat them, but it would have been really good for the Hoyas last night if St John's had not kicked that game away. Not sure what Figueroa was doing on some of those last few possessions. St John's has a ways to go to become a good team, but Anderson does have them playing hard. If he has a few good recruiting years and improves the talent base they are going to be a good program.

I still think it's dumb to involve the previous school in the decision making of the player leaving their school...

Transfer and play immediately would ruin college sports.

Transfer and play immediately would ruin college sports. It’s essentially what it is now if you are good enough, have a good enough lawyer or are old enough. Kind of makes it a fair playing field for all involved.

Marquette brought Lawrence Moten in the house for Markus Howard’s passing him as all time BE scorer.
Apparently they know nothing about bad juju in Milwaukee.
