Actually when you see the full clip of it, it’s not as bad as it looks... As the interview was starting Cooley had his arm around Mac telling him how his daughter is a freshman @ Gtown now so when PC comes to DC he’s gonna look for Mac as well... Pipkin can be seen in the background waiting for his coach, as Cooley walks away that’s when Pipkin chimed in with his comments which were essentially what Cooley had just said to Mac... The full clip can be seen on CasualHoya, I’m too lazy today to post it like I normally would... I agree that it's less random since he was waiting for Cooley, but I don't think Cooley saying he'll look for Mac when he's visiting Georgetown is the same as Pipkins saying "yeah boy, we're coming for you boy". Here's the clip starting when the Mac interview starts: Cooley said "My daughter is a freshman @ Gtown so when we play there I'm gonna come look for you". You kinda softened what he said some Polo... No doubt Pipkin took it up a notch but I doubt he would have said anything to Mac if Cooley hadn't engaged him first, that's my main point...

It isn't classy, but I think it's probably more Pimpkins being a teenager and doing something not advisable than anything else. To the extent McClung and others use it as motivation to bury the Friars, all the better. And, given the way Cooley is, my guess is Pimpkins probably heard about it. Overall, pretty harmless. Pipkins is a grad student I believe. That makes him a grown man compared to Mac. But one comports himself with class while the other acts like...well, something that rhymes with class. Also, if Mac had referred to Pip-squeak as "boy" that would have gone viral and the Georgetown program as well as Mac would have to do a lot of apologizing. And I say that as an African American.

My name is Pipkin, and I'm here in the Big East for one reason, and one reason only - to place that Big East belt around my waist. And I'm looking for YOU, Mac McClung! Seems like much ado about little to me.

Fair enough. I just don't see it as a big deal. And McClung didn't seem to care either.

Agree 100%, MCI. Plus, there are things a coach who has earned respect can say in jest that players shouldn't. Pip didn't think that part through, and i'm not so sure Cooley would have been all that thrilled with him after he did it. Mac's smirk near non-reaction was the killer, though. Well done, McClung!

I can’t imagine how much trash talking Mac endures. At the end of the day, you do your talking with your game.

Interesting choice of words. A new life for UConn is a threat to the current good times at Providence.

Just as I called it on Casual, who is this FOOL? I get that Mac is a premiere player for the BE and everybody is gunning for him, but FOOL show some respect that was an A and B conversation.

kentuckysportsradio.com/basketball-2/2019-2020-college-basketball-preseason-top-25/24) Georgetown Hoyas Key Returnees: James Akinjo, Mac McClung, Josh LeBlanc, Jamorko Pickett Key Departures: Jesse Govan, Trey Mourning, Kaleb Johnson Key Additions: Omer Yurtseven (transfer), Qudus Wahab Maybe I’m just out of my mind on this one, but I really like what Patrick Ewing has coming back in Year 3 at Georgetown. Remember, this is a team that was on the fringe of the NCAA Tournament conversation for most of February and early March, and didn’t quite get over the hump. This year that same team returns mostly intact with a couple of nice, additional pieces. Yes, leading scorer Jesse Govan (17 points per game) is gone, but James Akinjo, Mac McClung and Josh LeBlanc all played major roles as freshmen, and should make a sizeable leap as sophomores. Akinjo was one of the most pleasant surprises in college hoops after averaging 13 and five assists this past season. NC State transfer Omer Yurtseven and four-star recruit Qudus Wahab add size down low. For all the talk about Villanova, Seton Hall, Xavier and others in the Big East, don’t sleep on the Hoyas.

Green's five Big East conference games to watch for in 2019-20 www.collegesportsoverload.com/2019/10/greens-five-big-east-conference-games.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+CollegeSportsOverload+(College+Sports+Overload)&m=14) Marquette at Georgetown- Sat. Jan. 18, 2 p.m. Both teams split last season’s meetings with epic finishes— Sam Hauser’s go-ahead jumper with under a minute left to aid in a 74-71 win over Georgetown and Marquette being on the wrong end in the regular-season finale in Milwaukee, 86-84. Georgetown has arguably its best returning roster in the Patrick Ewing era with sophomores James Akinjo and Mac McClung leading the way. 5) Georgetown at Villanova- Sat. Jan. 11, Noon Despite Villanova’s recent dominance in the series, Georgetown got up from the ground and delivered an unexpected knockout in an 85-73 win last season at the Verizon Center to split the season series at 1-1. With the majority of the players back on both teams, expect this one to be produce plenty of scoring at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.

2019-20 Big East Power Rankings lastwordonprobasketball.com/2019/09/25/2019-20-big-east-power-rankings/6. Georgetown The Hoyas showed a tremendous amount of improvement under head coach Patrick Ewing in his second full year on the job. While Georgetown loses the services of Jessie Govan, returning will be a great sophomore class that is expected to only get better. Of course, that sophomore trio includes reigning Big East Freshman of the Year James Akinjo, the scintillating and Twitter fan favorite Mac McClung and the criminally underrated Josh LeBlanc. Big man and N.C. State transfer Omer Yurtseven will help fill the void left by the departure of Govan. The Hoyas clearly have all they need to contend in the Big East and make a run toward the NCAA Tournament.
