Evan Daniels at BE media day: Omar Yurtseven will be the most impactful new comer. Was the equivalent of a 5 star coming out of turkey when he saw him in high school. Said Orr and Ewing really improved his inside game.

I agree not much difference 3 through 7....but hopefully this results in a huge chip on our shoulder heading into conference play.

My summary of Ewing's interview: We have more talent this year. Omer is more physical and a better post player than Jessie but can shoot the 3 just as well. We lived with the mistakes the sophomores(then freshmen) made so that they could grow and hopefully be better this year. You have to improve your schedule every year. My first year we tried to make the scheduled easy to ease me into it, since it was my first time coaching, but we're beefing up the schedule to make the team more competitive.

Bulletin board is going to be full this season. Yes indeed! So this Pipkins dude decides to display a lack of class by interjecting his smack towards McClung while McClung is being interviewed. On camera. In my estimation that the Friars were practically offended to have lost to the Hoyas twice last season, that they took it personally. Which also means they think they have the better program and that Georgetown is living on past memories. I say this because Pipkins was not part of the Friars program whatsoever last season; he was playing for UMass. So for him to say what he did to McClung, a player not picked for any pre-season All BE lists, who plays for a Hoya team that is predicted to finish below the Friars, suggests the Providence coaches and or players have Georgetown on the brain. I have been hating the Friars since they got on that streak against us and as I mentioned earlier the Hoyas sweep of them last season was as sweet for me as anything else the team did in ’18-’19. That hate won’t be subsiding anytime for me. Of course its possible that Pipkins wasn’t really getting riled up over Georgetown but has McClung in his crosshairs. If so is his dismissive attitude for McClung something he came to own his on or did his Friars teammate instruct him on that too?

Bulletin board is going to be full this season. Yes indeed! Classy kid. I’m not sure Cooley would be ok with this. By the way, he is a PG for those who don’t know.

People enjoy seeing the mighty Hoyas down. I don't know about you, but I often believe the program still has the same relevancy it had in the 80's and 90's, and to the basketball world, it simply doesn't and that is difficult for me to admit. We really should have ruled a watered down Big East. People enjoy taking our lunch money. I really believe/hope that changes this year and for years to come. We have the talent for it (on paper at least before the season starts).
I am tired of having lofty expectations to have them dashed by January. I know, close to blasphemy. But I believe in Coach and the pieces he has put together

Actually when you see the full clip of it, it’s not as bad as it looks... As the interview was starting Cooley had his arm around Mac telling him how his daughter is a freshman @ Gtown now so when PC comes to DC he’s gonna look for Mac as well... Pipkin can be seen in the background waiting for his coach, as Cooley walks away that’s when Pipkin chimed in with his comments which were essentially what Cooley had just said to Mac... The full clip can be seen on CasualHoya, I’m too lazy today to post it like I normally would...

I agree that it's less random since he was waiting for Cooley, but I don't think Cooley saying he'll look for Mac when he's visiting Georgetown is the same as Pipkins saying "yeah boy, we're coming for you boy". Here's the clip starting when the Mac interview starts:

It isn't classy, but I think it's probably more Pimpkins being a teenager and doing something not advisable than anything else. To the extent McClung and others use it as motivation to bury the Friars, all the better. And, given the way Cooley is, my guess is Pimpkins probably heard about it. Overall, pretty harmless.
