Ranked 89 in espn’s latest version of top 100. Also, there is a nice clip video of Jamari tweeted by Phenom Hoops three days ago with some clips from Oak Hill that I hadn’t seen before. Someone who is better than I at posting twitter videos can post.

Is this what you're referring to? Yes, thanks for posting! Also, for those looking for something to do, there are lots of raw game highlight videos for Oak Hill games from this season on YouTube. Sibley got hurt on January 17, so look for games before that. Sibley is #1.

Nice to have a kid in the mold of Copeland, Whittington, Porter, White on the team. Multidimensional, long, point forward. I know he’s a different player than those guys, but he is skilled and I am not sure Ewing has had that type of kid in his arsenal yet.

Great vision, great passing, great speed of feet and hands... plus nice stroke.

Sky is the limit for Sibley. Needs some muscle, as does everyone else coming out of high school, but his athleticism and length are not teachable. I don't see Otto's skillset necessarily but he plays intelligent basketball and has the most upside of any player Coach Ewing has had yet. I stand by my original assessment that he will need a year before he hits his stride, but come sophomore year he could be THE guy for us.
I also like that he was comfortable playing as a second fiddle at Oak Hill to Cam Thomas (arguably a third fiddle even behind Maddox). He is very unselfish and takes smart, high percentage shots. The one characteristic I love most about this freshman class is that several of them played Robin next to their school's batman. Beard was the guy behind Steward, Clark was the guy behind Fletcher, and SIbley was the guy behind Thomas. In my experience, guys like this make for excellent college ball players because they actually have to learn how to contribute in more ways than having the ball constantly in their hands and shooting it whenever they feel like.

Outstanding point - not sure if this reference will resonate, but Deron Williams was Robin in high school to his teammate Bracey Wright's Batman. Wright was a solid player for Indiana. but Williams thrived at Illinois and became an Olympian.

I think Sibley will be a really good college player and get decent minutes as a freshman. The struggle for him , and for all freshman, is finding consistency from game to game. While I appreciate the fact that he did not feel he had to be "the man" for his high school team and was willing to defer sometimes and play in a team concept, I think it is important that he quickly develops the confidence that he belongs and can be a consistent offensive force for the team as a freshman. The Hoyas have struggled in the last few years with some players who just would not look to be offensive players and that clogged up the floor for the rest of the team. They don't need him to average 20 shots a game, but he needs to be aggressive and take the shots/plays when they are available.

More Pickett than Porter IMHO. I didn’t mention Pickett because he isn’t as strong or explosive as some of the other guys, and is likely the worst passer and dribbler in the group. Actually he and Copeland might battle for that last spot. Sibley can pass, score and rebound. He can do a bit of everything.

J Sibley's moved up 7 spots in the 247 rankings, but dropped 5 spots in the composite rankings despite his rating going up from .9599 to .9609

Lots of arc on that jumpshot. Looks athletic. Agressive. He is likely to do quite well at GU. By the end of the season (if there is one) the front line could be Q, Pickett and SIbley. Tall and athletic. If Mac returns and Harris is starting alongside him? With Beard, Blair and the other Harris behind them? depth on the front line? Clark and Bile, Ighohefe and Wilson? Could be a verye exciting team. WIll take Coach some time to get them in sync, and someone needs to take over the PG spot. Hopefully Harris. And who knows, Pat is still trying to add talent to this roster.

People are concerned about his jumper but the thing that I see that will instantly help us is the guy passes ahead in transition. He isnt the I gotta dribble it all the way up, I like guys at the PG spot who look ahead and will take the "hockey" assist especially with someone like Mac on the team. That was Akinjo's main problem. He had to be the one dribbling it all the way up for the pass not looking ahead at open guys.

Can’t wait to see Jamari In a Hoya uniform next year. . He should get plenty of minutes as a backup at the 3 or 4 .
