Deep Navy Blue and Gray are our colors, and a beautiful combination...I wish we would stay with them with rare exceptions...

Yeah can we keep this thread to news about the prospect? Difficult to navigate new comment notifications when it’s about uniform combos or former player discussions

Notwithstanding the poor lighting in DFW’s photo, the abomination we call tidal blue is several shades lighter than the 1982 road jersey, a framed, signed Ewing edition of which resides in my office. Yes, it's probably somewhere in between. The Louisiana Superdome was notorious for dark lighting given its size, so much so that there was real concern entering Super Bowl XII that the cameras might not use the right aperture and the game coverage could be lost to history. The warmups probably weren't that bright either, but we're splitting hairs--it wasn't the teal look. Nike, ever resistant to customer goodwill, could resuscitate that 1982 jersey color (or better yet, the 1985 Final Foir look) without too much effort--it was their design after all and remains their intellectual property. Instead, their efforts to "Oregonize" the jerseys have led to widespread rumbling that suggests that Ewing and his staff are tone deaf about the right colors. After all, it was the numerous complaints about the look of the 1982 jerseys on TV that led Frank Rienzo to go for the royal blue jerseys of Ewing's heyday and that is what the colors should be aspiring to, not yet another tired example of "turning back the clock" to something that never existed in the first place. For those of a certain age who missed the understated, kente-free glory of the 1985 team, an example via Getty Images. Thanks DFW for a rare, albeit background shot, of Grady Mateen.

I swear it seems like some schools only start recruiting kids because their competitors are recruiting them. Same with Kadary Richmond. What's Syracuse scholarship situation for next yr. Can they take both sibley and Richmond???

When a non-Blue Blood school comes in late in the game and becomes the leader overnight, I can’t help but wonder what shenanigans went on.

Long 6'8 forward on that baseline. Need the staff to crank it up a gear after that hoya madness flop last night.

How long is Boeheim even going to stick around. If I were a Syracuse recruit...I’d be very concerned about that. That and learning how to play an NBA style defense.

I agree with the points about the syr defense but keep in mind Sixers just drafted Matisse Thybulle in the 1st rd. He played in that same defense at UW.

Most of the Syracuse system players that have been drafted in the first round, never showed they were worthy of their draft position.

If it makes anybody feel better, we did pick up a Sibley crystal ball prediction this morning... from the HawkeyeInsider.com guy. (Supposed to be down to us & Iowa)
That sounds promising.
