Obviously we have Kirby to thank for this one since its the 2nd time he has won this kids services. Gotta also love that he and Leblanc are familiar with each other playing on the same AAU team at one point. He is not as poor a shooter as some on this board would have you believe 37% from 3 is very respectable and he takes a good number of them. Great driver off the bounce. Also great to get a guy who was ranked in the top 50 the year he came out. Stats here show that he shot 37-106(34.9%) from 3 this season which is ok... stats.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2018-19/div1/players/galenalexandercxi5Alexander wasn't a top 50 kid as an HS senior...

Great news. Looks like a tough kid, Patrick is building his kind of team.

Yes I see the disconnect here though. He was actually top 50 as a HS junior. So depending how you google, it might come up. Either way, clearly fills an immediate need and is not just "some guy".

I am happy that Galen signed. I am going on the highlights that were shown in his clips. We need a tough minded guy like him with skills. I also hope we can still pick up Gardner too. This is a good day for the Hoyas!
Welcome Galen Alexander!! Welcome to the Hoyas!!

I am very happy about this commitment....how many years of eligibility does he have left? I would like it if we could also pick up Myron Gardner too.

How do we think this kid who loves to slash will enjoy playing on the uptempo, fast-paced, highest scoring offense in the Big East? And he has a nose for the ball, rebounds and enjoys playing D?

Great news. Love the tape on him.
NCAAs is a very realistic and achievable goal next season!!!
Well done, Coach Pat. Your hard work in the recruiting trail has paid off.

Ordinarily (or late in the JT2 era) I would be concerned that we were picking up a player that had been kicked out of LSU, but Pat has shown a no tolerance policy for knucklehead behavior, so I am happy that Galen is getting a second chance and hope he takes advantage of it, as he certainly comes in and fills a position of need.

He's LJ Peak 2.0, nothing wrong with that either. Welcome to DC Galen.

LJ with a little more size maybe. He's definitely a force going to the basket and looks to have a tight handle. Man, what a pickup he could go if he vibes with the team.

My expectations now are for us to be solidly in the top half of the conference and make the NCAAs. We will have a well-rounded roster with skilled athletes at every position.

Considering that Gtown just tied for 3rd in the conference this season, didn't you expect them to be solidly in the top half anyway?

And we are losing a first team BE player. But, yes, I think we should expect that. Let's face it, the conference pretty much sucked. 3 of the teams that finished in 3rd place didn't even make the tourney. Ugh.

Aiming for solo third place and 11-7 in conference. That or any higher and I'll be pleased

Welcome, Galen. Congrats to the coaching staff on securing what looks to be an immediately impactful player in a position of need, who, from the video, plays with confidence and aggression in an attack mode. If his defense is solid, we are in business. Can't wait to seem him finishing on the break with the 2019-20 Hoyas.

I like this pickup a lot. It’ll be interesting if Powell, Howard, etc come back. If not, it could open up a lot and we could have a great year

They have talent to re-boot (Gillespie, Bey, Samuels, Roundtree, Swider, Quinerly), but it will be a big test for Nova next year to maintain it's top spot in conference.

Two games vs the best team they probably faced this year. Pearl was a top 10 Juco all season and only lost 3 games.
31pts 11 rbds 4 assts
11-16 fga; 3-5 from 3
8pts 7rbds 3to's
3-9 fga 0-3 from 3
Was in foul trouble for a lot of this game and fouled out in overtime.
