Not sure I'd lump FSU among the shady. I think Leonard Hamilton runs a clean program, but I agree with the general sentiment, especially about LSU. That's true didn't mean to do that

Moussa Cisse and Jonathan Kuminga might be good friends, but that is not going to be the reason that they enroll at a program like Memphis. They will be making their decisions based on fit and opportunity, not friendship. As far as reclassifying, I do believe both will ultimately move into the 2020 class later this summer. Kuminga just took an unofficial visit to Georgia last week, which is a sign he is ready to take a closer look at his recruitment. He has been rather mum about the programs recruiting him, but the Bulldogs will have a chance, as will Auburn, LSU and potentially Texas Tech, where his brother is currently redshirting. Speaking of LSU, if the two were to attend college together, the Tigers would be the likeliest destination. There hasn’t been a whole lot written about the Tigers' connection with Cisse, but they are a heavy suitor. That could also be said for Florida State, Kentucky, Georgetown and Memphis. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/twitter-tuesday-memphis-pitt-zion-harmon-uconn

Unless we make a top 3 list I never have my hopes up with these 4-5 star recruits. They use GU to legitimize their recruitment. Hopefully it's different this time around...

As an FYI about the eligibility challenges, the pandemic is making it hard for recruits to take standardized tests, which makes reclassification potentially more challenging right now.

I really like Cisse and think that he would be a great fit and would flourish under Ewing's coaching, but competing for players like this against Kentucky, LSU and Memphis is a tough hill to climb. If the staff could land a kid like this, and he had success in the program (even if for only one year) I think it would really open the flood gates for getting more high ranked recruits. They need to land one of these kids at some point to legitimize the program.

I also think that winning would do the same thing.

I didn't know it worked this way. That the G-League (owned by the NBA) would reach out to a high school player before he said he intended to skip college. Seems odd to me, but the rules seem to be changing quickly

Seems odd to me, but the rules seem to be changing quickly Looks like the G-League is trying to set up a team of HS kids not affiliated with any NBA team... www.forbes.com/sites/adamzagoria/2020/04/16/top-high-school-prospect-jalen-green-intends-to-skip-college-and-play-in-nba-g-league/#2b0462111f7dThe 6-foot-5 Green, an explosive and charismatic combo guard out of Napa Valley (CA) Prolific Prep, is expected to earn in the neighborhood of $500,000 while playing for a “Select Team” in a specific city — possibly in Southern California — that will combine elite high school players who want to play professionally instead of going to college with older G League players, according to Yahoo Sports. The G League said Green’s new team “will be unaffiliated with any existing NBA G League franchise or NBA team.” The G League deal for Green who has signed with agent Aaron Goodwin, does not include any potential shoe deal he signs.
Five-star prospect Isaiah Todd, a 6-10 forward who decommitted from Michigan this week, will also join the new Southern California team in this new G League path, according to The Athletic.

I guess you slowly remove the temptation for college programs to cheat by paying for 5-star recruits.

I hate the NBA and G-League. Why can't College Bball and NBA co-exist like NFL and College Football. There will never come a time where a Stud Football player will go str8 to the NFL or after one year of College for that matter. The NBA eats its young.
